I've been looking for providers recently, if it makes any difference I'm female, so that cuts down on the number of providers available to me. I have other criteria that makes the list of potential providers even thinner, so I am pretty flexible on tattoos with two exceptions: 

1. If the tats look gang related
2. if the tats are horribly tacky and all over, to the point where it detracts from the providers overall attractiveness (ex: face tats) or are so numerous you can't see their body under all that ink. 

If 1 or 2 apply I'll usually move on and keep looking.

I agree on both points. I am living proof that there are changes in attitudes. 20 years ago it was unthinkable for me to have a tattoo.

Regarding people's treatment of their distaste for tattoos as "despicable monsters" as you put it, that's fairly common with all kinds of other preferences, from race, age, height, body type, to circumcision status, you name it. Never understood the "strong emotions" around certain things.

Personally don't prefer tattoos, but not necessarily turned off by them.  However, these are 100% unacceptable to me: tattoos of characters/symbols/alphabets of a foreign language that

1.     Are transcribed in the most unesthetic manner (e.g. out of proportion, misaligned, don’t conform to the standards of that particular writing system)

2.     Mean something completely wrong, stupid, illogical (unintentionally)

Number 1 is insulting to the language/culture.  Number 2 is humiliating to the bearers of the tattoos.

The unfortunate fact is most of them don’t know they are making themselves a laughingstock and yet, wear their public self-humiliations with pride.  Attractiveness instantaneously vanishes into thin air when you are laughing uncontrollably upon witnessing such mishaps.

I think some tattoos can be so beautiful.  Some seem like they have an interesting backstory of who the person used to be and I'd want to know about that journey.   Some are creepy.  In the case of creepy, I wouldn't go to them for massage.  Coffee sure, but I wouldn't be able to place myself in that vulnerable space with them and feel comfortable.

Just as many people like them as dislike them. Your RM pics show that you're a pretty sexy guy, but they don't show your ink. I would imagine that you're just as sexy with them as you are without them, so why don't you show your all in your pics and be proud of your body and your beauty? I'm pretty sure you will attract more men than you put off.

I do not enjoy tattoos on sexual partners.  I sometimes ask as to the reason a tattoo was obtained to gain insight into the person and even if the reason is compelling, the tattoo itself is not.  That does not preclude my hiring men with tattoos but given a choice, I opt out.  Facial tattoos are a definite no for me.  Also would say no to the coverup.  

If the body is amazing, lower the lights, look into his eyes and enjoy the other senses.

Only one thought on tattoos. They are hideous. The only long term winner in this tattoo craze is cosmetic surgeons with their lasers.

I LOVE tattoos. It's an automatic attractiveness boost for me. Especially if they committed to an arm or leg sleeve or a medium-large chest or back piece or something. Or also have lots of cute small tattoos all over.

The only ones i can't really find myself being into are face tats if it's more than one or two very small ones (and depending on placement). Or if it's a realistic portrait of a dead family member on their pecs, which I've found to be disproportionately common specifically with latino and hispanic guys. I don't hate it or think it looks bad and i think it's a beautiful gesture. I just don't want to be caressing a guys pecs or be taking it missionary and see the guys relatives looking back at me in the heat of the moment 🤣

As an arachnophobe, i also struggle with the popular trend of arachnid/spider tattoos a lot of young guys get these days.

I'm not a fan of tattoos at all, but my favorite provider has a few. And while they don't make him look better, they aren't on his face, or covering his neck or whole arm, so they aren't "front and center" unless you want them to be.

A favourite tattoo story that says it all. A friend had a co worker, a teenager, who came to work one Monday morning with a tattoo. It was pointed out to him it was the Star of David. This kid was so dumb he didn’t know what the Star Of David was. So he went back to the tattooist who converted it into a rats head. How many stories are there like this when in a rash moment people get these hideous adornments only to spend the rest of their lives regretting it?

All I sometimes ask is how long it took. For example a guy had his back all tatted up once I hired. I'd hate to ask someone why they got a certain tattoo and have the reason be to honor a recently deceased friend or family member and kill the vibe.

I would never ask a pro to cover his tatts. If I found his tatts unacceptable, I just wouldn't hire him.  I really dislike tatts on the neck, face, and head and I just wouldn't hire a guy who had them. I think it's so weird when someone who doesn't like tatts just doesn't move on.  They are driven to turn it into a cause and seem to take it as a personal offense that someone is tattooed.  When I was a little boy, I was completely taken by men who were tattooed and my mother told me that there was something seriously wrong with guys who had tatts.  Even then, though, she never felt she had to share her disapproval with any of them.
