  1. Kia ora, I was making no comment about the facts or other claims in the matter, it was purely a forum housekeeping note that two threads had been combined.
  2. On a computer, at the top of each page, towards the right of the screen, there is your account name and a row of icons. The two overlapping speech bubbles is the icon for DMs. Click on that and your recent messages and a button to start a new message will appear in a drop-down. If you receive a DM a green circle with a number [of unread messages] will appear pointing to the icon. If you're using a phone, there is a messages button at the bottom of the screen. The green circle appears at the top of the screen over the three lines menu icon and the number includes all notifications, including new messages, that you have yet to view. In both versions, the number only appears until you view the list (so for messages, before you read them).
  3. No, RM isn't charging anyone to see the reviews. RM doesn't allow people in the US to read the text in reviews at all (anyone can see the 1-5 scale ratings). To do that from the US you need to use a VPN to hide your location from RM's servers. The VPN allows you to simulate being somewhere other than where you are in the US, in this sort of case in a country from where you can read the review texts, with the Netherlands and Germany being the ones that are most frequently discussed here. The OP was asking if anyone can advise him of a free VPN he could use.
  4. Now you mention it, I remember you did post that. Some precision is needed when considering 'averages'.
  5. Gentlemen, the broader economy and possible pressures at the border are possible contributing factors to escort rates, but if you wish to analyse them there are, or can be, other threads to do that. Please confine our discussion here to what a new prevailing rate in New York is, and whether it has changed. Perhaps whether the rate is a mean, median or mode.
  6. We have a similar thing in Australia (PayID), it works with any bank but you have to register with your bank. You can use an e-mail, phone number or ABN (Australian Business Number). I'm not sure we've had it for, but I don't think it's as long as Canada. It's not anonymous so I've found out escorts' real names, but they didn't seem to care (one I know doesn't care at all).
  7. I know, it's outrageous. Kids all over New York City will be grumpy at school and their parents' quiet evenings will be upturned. Or perhaps it's someone who knows what they are doing is a charade, knowing full well that it was not serious, and that almost no one would think it was meant to be. Seriousness has its place, but levity makes life better.
  8. This made me think a little more about 'age shaving' with 'select ... by age' being a key phrase. In a world where RM is where people search, age carries a more specific weight than it otherwise might. It provides a filter that will exclude people from a search. Posting 29 as an escort's age puts their ad in front of people. Many, perhaps most, will look at what they then see and that can say more than the number on the screen does. It occurs to me that many '29 year olds' are not trying to deceive potential hirers, they are only trying to deceive the machine that would use the number to winnow them out. They know that their presence, either with their face or other attributes on the screen, or in person will do the work of attracting clients.
  9. Seeing a notification pop up today about this ancient comment, I would add that I had seen Mike in 2017, so Sydney was six years later. Several days after the fact I made some comment in a follow up 'how was your trip home' e-mail about the 3 hour trip to Sydney, and he apologised saying he hadn't realised the distance, and had thought Canberra was a Sydney exurb. He had remembered where in Australia I came from. I think that says a lot about him.
  10. It makes sense to buy in a gatored community.
  11. I absolutely agree. The air force base at Mountain Home (I was there with my RAAF squadron for several weeks) is not one of them.
  12. I knew you'd be aware, and I assume most people don't bother with the accents when using an English keyboard. Only a pedant like me would point out the precise meaning without the accent, and I wouldn't have thought to do so if one article I read hadn't pointed it out.
