  1. In answer to my own post on March 27 above, there were a couple of Boardwalk dancers at Tampa Johnsons tonight. One of them told me that Boardwalk has been closed for 2 or 3 weeks for renovations. He said he thinks it may be reopening next weekend.
  2. For those of you looking to cut back on expenses during today's economy:
  3. This is posted on Boardwalk's Instagram page. Any idea what it's about? It's posted twice this week, and it's the first post since August I believe.
  4. Don't know why but I've never been bothered much by ads. They give me a chance to pee, get a drink, check my phone, etc. Ads have always been a part of my TV viewing since the early days with 4 channels through our antenna so it's not like they're anything new to me. This might be the problem. I would never think of TV viewing as a quality life. You could be right about going back to books, if that's something you enjoy. To be fair though, quality of life means something different to each of us so I understand your frustration.
  5. Sorry, just not enough information for me to know who he was. Plus, they get dancers visiting from other places so he might not have been a regular there. I have met some really hot dancers that are from south Florida and from other states, just dancing in Tampa for a week or two. Maybe you will be lucky though and he will be there when you get back to Tampa.
  6. Considering I probably can't remember what I had for dinner two nights ago, that might be a challenge! 😜 Any additional information? Like: White, Black, Latino? Tall or short? Hair color? Hairstyle?Accent? Name? (Ok, that last one was a trick question.) 😄
  7. TALLAHASSEE — A hospital in Florida is suing a patient because she won’t leave. This lady will straight up NOT get out of the bed. Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare has filed a lawsuit against a woman who has been occupying Room 373 since she was formally discharged back in October. That was five months ago… This woman received a discharge order on October 6th. Doctors said she no longer needed acute care. They gave her a follow-up plan and told her she was good to go. And she said no… And kept saying no… For 153 days and counting… The hospital has now asked a state judge for an injunction ordering her to vacate the room and has requested authorization for the Leon County Sheriff’s Office to assist if she still refuses. The lawsuit states that her “continued occupancy prevents use of the bed for patients needing acute care,” which is hospital legal speak for “there are people who are actually sick and we need this room back immediately.” This woman turned a hospital stay into a lease agreement. At this point she probably has mail delivered there. She’s rearranged the furniture. She has opinions about the cafeteria menu. Most people can’t wait to leave a hospital. The food is terrible, the gown is humiliating, and someone wakes you up every four hours to check your blood pressure. This woman said “this is home now” and dared anyone to do something about it. They did something about it. They called a lawyer. Only in Florida does a hospital have to file an eviction notice on a patient.
