Am I Weird Because I Don't Like To Rim?

I'm not saying I'm not weird for other reasons. But a guy I've played around with once loves being rimmed. He's used to being rimmed long and hard. He said he had never come across someone like me as regards rimming. 
 

As for me-I've never wanted to at all-not in the slightest. And while I don't watch porn a lot, when I did, if there was a long rimming scene, I'd fast forward thru it.
 

I do have to admit that I don't mind being rimmed. In fact sometimes it's felt really nice. But I don't ask for it because I figure it's not fair if I'm not willing to reciprocate. Everyone has their preferences.  I was rimmed once and loved-loved-loved it.  I also rimmed the guy and he was clean enough that he didn’t smell like one would expect. I do a pseudo rim job (chinning) that might be more "palatable" for you.  I use my stubbly chin to massage and pressure the area and use spit to lubricate.  I will use a finger or three to probe while my chin is there.  Long strong strokes of the chin ending at the scrotum and back over the anus.  I actually enjoy doing it and most of my partners have enjoyed receiving it and there is not issue about kissing afterwards.

I'm with you on this. Maybe I'll evolve as I start to explore my gay side, but so far nothing near anyones asshole interests me in the least - mine or others.  But I used to feel that way about kissing and now it's ok. Still not something that excites me with most guys though.

We're both the same but also different. I've been exploring my 'gay' side for 23 years now. And my feelings on rimming haven't changed.
 

However where we differ is kissing. I'm not sure what I thought about plain kissing. But before my first  experience, I  too thought French kissing sounded gross and didn't think I'd like it. Then my 'teacher' French kissed me, and I loved it. It makes  the ol' tallywacker really hard (hope that's not too TMI).
 

What I also found out-again hope this isn't too TMI-my neck is very sensitive. I love some guy nuzzling on my neck and ears. And if they have a bit of a 5-o'clock shadow or a beard/mustache-WOWEE!! Not everybody likes the same things. Believe it or not I've actually come across a few straight AND gay men that confessed to not like getting their dick sucked! I personally love all kinds of oral sex and have had a few guys not let me rim them because they though "it was just gross". Well their reaction and comment turned me off! To each his own! There are things others get into that I never would, so don't give it another though. We like what we like and not everything gets everybody going. 😉

Like other forms of intimate contact, if you don't like it, you don't like it. No one should make you do it. I was turned off to it for years. But not every moment of pleasure-giving has to be reciprocal. Personally I'm always in favor of it both ways if that's how it plays out, and have (high) hygiene standards I both meet and expect - when hiring, I express my interest ahead for him to be clean. 

It's fine to not want it. I get that. And someday, the right someone, in the right setting at the right time might change your mind, like someone did mine. If not, you'll enjoy sex all the same!

I have very specific things that I do and do not get into. I personally don’t enjoy getting my dick sucked or being rimmed. But I love to suck other guys, and rim other clean holes. Doing both are like the best feeling in the world to me. Kissing doesn’t make me hard or do anything for me erotically though. I have declared I’m pretty much a “side”. Because I don’t top, and I’m not into bottoming either.

It may be the experience thing. On one hand he's more experienced than I am in that he's had several long term partners. On the other hand, I'm not sure now that he's not in a relationship how often he meets up with other guys. Or I don't know, maybe he's just always met rimming enthusiasts. Unless things have changed a lot in the last decades I can say that rimming was always a so do/some don't - kind of sexual interest.

Anecdotally, when I was single and extremely sexually active with hundreds of new people, my observation would be that it was rather a 50/50 split amongst the many gay (and bi) men I hooked up with. 

For me its a case by case. I can totally get into it with a fresh young guy with a nice bubble but, however slightly older guys with a hairy ass would NOT be exciting for me to bury my face in there.

I am not into doing it.  I have been mostly indifferent to having it done to me, but I did have one buddy in the past who made it feel wonderful. There is something appealing about having someone do it to you,  knowing they want to actually be in a space that is so private and where I feel the least desirable. I refused to eat spinach when I was child.  My mother encouraged me to eat it but it just seemed gross.  After my older brother convinced me to try it and then say I did not care for it, my mother would stop bothering me about it.  Well, i tried it, I liked it and that was the end of it.
