That decision is totally yours but from a client point of view, at least for the first visit I would keep the same price and at that visit I would inform the client that the rates are going up for the next visit.  I think you will lose a few clients but better for them not to call after that first visit rather then put them in an awkward position on the phone.  If the provider told me his rates went up on the phone or by text, I would be more inclined to not hire, not because of the money but because of the lack of respect for previous visits.  After the first one, face to face, and then let the client decide if he likes you enough to pay the extra freight charge.

I recently experienced a 50% price increase from two of my service providers: a young Russian escort and my tailor. I wasn't happy about it, especially regarding the tailor. 😅

I guess it depends on how well your tailor measures your inside leg?

When I increase my prices I update them on my website and inform regulars when they book. No one has complained. People expect things to go up: prices, cocks and things going up their hole. It’s normal.

I think having it on a website makes it less personal,  so less likely to offend. I think part of the problem with raising prices for a regular is two-fold.  First, a regular is often someone you give a discount to, not jack up the price for. Second, the illusion that this is something your provider is also enjoying is blown. Sure, you are paying, but you want to be in the mindset that even though you are paying, the provider is into it. Very tough to maintain that illusion when he tells you that in order to continue being intimate with you, you'll need to start paying more. Tough not to take that personally.  For massage, it might be ok, but for other intimacy, I think I might be inclined to move on to another provider.

I understand why you say this but I think it reveals a misunderstanding about the work:
I never discount for anyone, including regulars. It’s simple that way and they don’t get mixed messages. It’s an important rule that most experienced and successful providers will follow. It’s your work and your income, and as such you take it very seriously (be punctual, sober, client focused etc). That approach actually makes for a better experience for the client than someone who is monetising their sex life and charging different amounts depending on how much they like the client. Those guys tend to be flaky with arrangements and have lots of things they won’t do. Not a good experience.

Just because money is exchanged doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying it. Again it comes to a professional approach vs someone just trying to earn from their sex life. It’s not easy doing sex work properly so you need to enjoy it to be able to do it sustainably. The money is for being available when the client wants (within reason), for your experience and expertise and for your focus on the client. It’s not ‘compensation’ for having to have sex with someone you’re not enjoying.

Posting new rates on your website wouldn't work for me because I never check it for providers I already see regularly. I simply text them directly when I want to book.

I prefer to be told in advance, BEFORE I'm scheduling my next appointment. A quick text saying, "Starting on X date, my new rates will be..." is perfectly fine. Even better, let me know in person at the end of a session while the current rates still apply.

What I don't appreciate is finding out only when I'm trying to book. If that's when you decide to tell me the rates have gone up, my automatic response is likely to be, "Good luck with that."

You have every right to raise your prices whenever you want. But if you want to keep me as a client, give me a heads-up instead of surprising me at booking time. It's a simple courtesy.

I agree with @JamesB I prefer to be told in advance, before scheduling the next appointment.  Everything has gone up and you need cover your expenses and make ends meet.  I actually manage pricing in career and as long as a client thinks they are receiving value, most clients should be fine. I've had providers tell me their rates were increasing as of some date in the future and I, personally, was ok with it. I appreciated the head's up as I tend to pay in cash and want to make sure I have enough to cover fees and tips.
