Some of us travel a lot for work and have more money than time. Some of us are a solid B in looks or body want to have fun with and A or A+. Some want a particular act or scenario that it’s easier to find with a provider. Some want to play with a content creator. Some are just bored and want to try something different or a little taboo.

I can't speak for others, but I hired when I was young because I just liked the guy. They were nice, friendly, good company, good sex, so why not. I wasn't looking to hire, and I did have dates and casual sex outside of hiring. It was and felt different than it is now.
