I see a number of providers giving the finger in their RM pictures. For me, this is an instant pass. It's hard for me to imagine that this would be a positive for potential clients. Is it possible that it doesn't mean what it used to? Should I reconsider?

I hear what you are saying, but one of my longtime providers just did new pics for his profile and he has two in there with the finger.  Has not changed my feelings about him.. still a great provider and person.  I think it is just a pose and nothing to be read into it.   Just my opinion.

I'm pretty sure we've had this discussion before, but just to chime in again with my perspective:  It also turns me off.  I guess I wouldn't necessarily write the guy off based on one photo of him flipping off the camera if everything else in his ad appealed to me, but when I see photos like this they generally seem to be attached to ads that reveal an attitude that doesn't appeal to me.

I haven't seen this much. I suspect it's guys trying to look tough or edgy. It wouldn't bother me if it's just a single photo.

I find myself put off by profiles that have no smiling pictures, where every facial expression is like "tough guy" - also ones that have multiple hardcore sex videos. I prefer to leave some stuff to my imagination.

Thanks for bringing this up.  I've meant to ask the same on this board for a long time but never have.   Is it a generational or cultural thing?  Major turn off for me and if an escort has a picture of them flipping us off, it's an easy pass for me.

There are numerous ways providers  try to convey a bad boy image. This just happens to be one of the more hackneyed.

For me, It gets a mild eye roll, but wouldn’t be a deciding factor.

It's not an automatic fail for me.  But it's points in the negative column.

Guys who smile in their ads get points in the positive column.   Guys who mention "conversation" in their ad get points in the positive column.

A guy with an antisocial unfriendly toned ad is really unlikely to ever get my business.

Flippin’ the bird is such a turn-off. The comment above mine said it’s not edgy or intriguing and I have to agree. Another comment said it was immature and stupid. Again, I agree. I wish more men would try to smile. Here’s a thought - smiling is masculine and sexy. Flippin’ the bird is silly and does not make you look tough. If I see the bird … it’s a pass.

It definitely isn’t a stroke in the plus column, for sure…

I’m not looking for a “bad boy,” anyway. I can understand the draw to appeal to a wide audience, but the “bad boy” persona is the last thing I want. I’ve dealt with that in real life enough; I don’t need to pay for it.

I’m not sure I’m on board with this (fairly recent) trend of sticking their tongue out for a photo!

Yet some photo essay briefs are rounded out with the rear backed up to the camera, ass cheeks hand-gripped and spread wide.

If it's just one pic in the batch with the middle finger I'm cool with that, I get that a provider wants to cater to numerous types of clients-social chameleon skills and all... but if it were every single pic, or enough of them to suggest they sport a bad attitude (there's a difference between being a jerk and being masculine/dominant), then I'd probably pass- not in a judge-y way, but more in a "not a match for me" way. I totally get that different peeps are looking for different things. I'd also take middle finger profile pics as a sign that the provider might may be intentionally seeking out a particular kind of client that they enjoy working with. Not a match for me, but maybe it would rock someone else's world.

I have seen this explosion of gents flipping the bird most usually associated with an "Alpha/Dom" personae on OnlyFan/Twitter_X platforms.

Personally i find it highly annoying but I've accepted that it's one of the must have signature photos to highlight and signal an Alpha/Master's desired positioning over the Beta/Sub in some fetishes and often Findom culture.

Which now makes weeding those types out easier without even reaching out because none of those appeals to me whatsoever…

Jedem Tierchen sein Pläsierchen…but I sincerely don’t “get” some fetishes. 🤷🏼‍♂️
