    If an automated message tells me a different preferred way to communicate, I’m fine with it. I sometimes find the way rates are listed in the automated messages offputting but I can’t exactly tell you why some do and don’t. On the whole, I don’t care for them.
    If the shoe were on the other foot, and I reached out when I had time to plan a meetup, but didn’t hear anything back until I was otherwise engaged, and had my messages or texts set to an automated reply, I suspect a provider would consider me uninterested even if I am.
