I once hired a provider (who is a member of this board community) and after our session I offered to let him shower so he did not have to drive home in the condition he was in....it was something I typically offered especially if I was at a hotel.  He spent a good 15 minutes cleaning up, got dressed and I handed him an envelop with our agreed upon rate.   The NEXT day, he texted me and stated that I had shorted him....I confirmed the amount that he received and asked him why he was asking for more since our session lasted the hour.  He told me that he was in my room for over and hour so I owned him 1.5 the rate.  When I noted that he both showed up a few minutes past the start time and then took a 15 minute shower the lambasting started.   Called me a cheat.  Telling me I was not an honest person.  Somewhere in the ranting and raving he said "Well you watched me take a shower so that is included in the time".  I laughed and said "you left the door open and I sat on the bed with the TV on watching the news, could I see the shower...yes...was it part of the show....NO."  He turned what what could have been a fun encounter into "never repeat again".

Then I have the experience of the provider that flooded my bathroom because he forgot to use the shower curtain properly...but that is for another thread I am sure.

In short....I rarely will offer or be in a shower with a provider....you can go use your own hot water, watch yourself in the mirror, and damage your own bathroom when you flood it.

I do sessions both at my house and in hotels. Most are for longer times and often overnights. So showers come up as an activity that the provider will often suggest. 
Sometimes they just want the opportunity to clean up before going on their way. Sometimes they will invite me to share. 
I am open to all suggestions they make, sometimes I offer the use without them asking. 
From a post above I can see it could be awkward at the end of the one hour session. Is the extra time included or extra? Are you getting in the shower with him? Or is he just having a good soaking by himself for 15 or 20 minutes after the 1 hour is up. 
I also agree if it is at my house and he is having a 20 minute shower, that is probably adding $10 or $20 to my electricity and water bill as rates are high where I live for both. Because of that I take 3 minute showers max.

The problem is usually only one person gets the water. I think hotels need to offer two shower heads so that we can shower together and both get the hot water. Or provide really big rainfall shower heads.
