  1. Here are two books to consider: Randy Shilts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_the_Band_Played_On Abraham Verghese https://www.amazon.com/My-Own-Country-Doctors-Story/dp/0679752927
  2. A one-off quick read: Backtrack by Joseph Hansen. A teenager investigates his father’s death. Hard boiled detective writing but with sharp wit and a coming of age and coming out story all tumbled in one.
  3. A good series of mysteries featuring a gay insurance investigator; complex characters and a great sense of place - Southern California in the 70’s and 80’s. This is the first of twelve: https://www.goodreads.com/series/52364-dave-brandstetter
  4. Not the hottest (unless you are into feet) but certainly one of the oddest massage videos out there. And an apartment so unique that it would supply the folks at Lurid Digs with enough material for a week of snarky tweets. https://massagegay.newtumbl.com/post/175747280-uxh5ep
  5. The Cloisters has part of the Met’s collection of Medieval art displayed in a building that simulates (and in some cases actually uses) the architecture of the time. Evocative atmosphere, nice garden elements, and great views of the Hudson and Palisades. https://www.metmuseum.org/visit/plan-your-visit/met-cloisters
  6. Pennsylvania like several other states has strict requirements to be trained and licensed. You can ignore those and advertise yourself as a masseur but may find yourself reported, investigated, and fined. How often it happens (getting fined that is) I really don’t know. Probably depends on a disgruntled client making a complaint.
  7. I imagine being in an abandoned country house with the production crew watching and endless retakes results in a certain amount of shrinkage, plus it was filmed in the fall so certainly not a warm, relaxing environment.
  8. From a 2009 photo exhibit of works by Bruce Weber "A Little Journey in my Back Yard"
  9. Uber daddy Dirk Caber on the receiving end!
  10. In reference to YMMV guys may want to consider providers with and without licenses have to be cautious. In Pennsyltucky they can get fined up to several thousand dollars if a complaint is filed with the state. And it can have nothing to do with "extras". A provider (unlicensed) I used was investigated because a disgruntled client filed a complaint saying that the provider's website showed a bare butt! After more than a year of grief the provider got off with a warning letter. What saved him from a fine? He never used the word massage in his ads...
  11. I give the very occasional massage on the side as well (of course here in Pennsyltucky you should call it a rub if you're not licensed). Since December I haven't given any; too much of risk with my health issues. Also haven't been to my regular provider since January; he just recently reopened using ABMP recommendations. As much as I miss it I shall wait until there is a vaccine or successful treatment protocol. In the meantime I'll try to write up one or two encounters although my stories are few and more sensual rather than sexual.
