thanks for saying this, and this is the ONLY place I can hear info from others about questions not everyone in my world is comfortable sharing. this includes prices, imho, which helps me gauge my expectations and the possibilities/experiences that might be open to me. i, for one, am really grateful for the candor about questions like this.

btw, and off-topic, some people think of seeking professional services as a hobby. nothing wrong with that, not even remotely, but for some of us providers offer a semblance of intimacy otherwise unavailable to us. not scolding any hobbyists on this site, and i'm only speaking for myself. this forum has really helped me understand the parameters of my own experiences.

You bring up a few great points!

1- Nobody should feel coerced into participating in a conversation with which they are not comfortable.

2- Price is a large deciding factor in whether or not many of us can hire certain providers.

3- This forum is the ONLY place many of us have to discuss several topics.

4- I don’t really understand the reason behind using the term “hobby” to describe hiring providers.  A hobby is something people do just for fun and can be easily replaced by another hobby.  Hiring a provider is for some people the only gratifying way to fulfill a biological urge.
