For whatever the reason, I hire a mix of both. I’ve only done it twice and both times were unsatisfactory to me even though both guys were exactly my physical type. A massage gets us to the same room together generally unclothed, so the big logistics hurdles are over. Then if two consenting adults want to go for it, it’s more exciting than an explicit sex transaction, at least for me. If a masseur who has not committed to sex decides he actually wants to have sex with me, that’s a lot more fun in my book. So in your case-it seems like what does it for you is the uncertainty of whether you will get sex or not. That wouldn't have worked for me when I was hiring. If I hired a guy (for the most part), I was horny and wanted sex.

Mark_fl Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Let's not fool ourselves. A Masseur who advertises at rates double a standard massage, has nude or almost nude photos, lists his sexual preference, and often his HIV status is not simply a masseur. So why choose a masseur? Because you want some semblance of massage before you get to the sensual stuff. Sure, maybe you just want a massage with some good glute work, but I think that's pretty rare, and you wouldn't need to pay double a standard massage rate for that. I get a monthly massage at Hand and Stone for $80. That's not what should be offered for 200 from a guy whose ad shows him flexing in underwear. Edited 15 hours ago by Mark_fl + Just Sayin 1

It has nothing to do with human behaviour and certainly not with my convenience. It is a matter of linguistics. Language relies on mutually agreed-upon rules and shared definitions. We need conventions like these, as a universal user manual for communication to allow us to turn raw thoughts into structured messages that others can easily process and understand. That's all.

Oh pleaae. Ask an American about football rules…then ask a European. They wont agree since they arent even talking about the same sport. You are sadly imagining “rules” that dont exist in real life. Speaking for myself, i never agreed to them so there was never a meeting of the minds. If you want to use rentmasseur to find sexual partners - you do you. If you prefer a gay bar - you do you. I just don't get all the posts about hiring a masseur and commenting if he tops, bottoms, suck, etc. Blows my mind that instead of going an escort, you'd rather go for a masseuse hoping it leads to sex. It's like I wanna have my windows cleaned, but instead of hiring a window cleaner, I hire a guy to mow the grass, hoping he looks up and see me pointing at my window. Because I want both Because I don't want just sex Because I don't want a full escort experience, just a quick getting off Because I fucking choose to Questions to you: Why does that bother you? What is your problem with that? Why do you need to analyze this? What is the obsession with labeling and wording things? muscmtl, + KensingtonHomo, + Vegas_Millennial and 1 other 1 1 1 1

I believe this is the answer to the original poster's question. For many people on this board (I think), the moments when a massage goes from therapeutic to sensual, from sensual to erotic, and from erotic to sexual are delicious. In fact, for some of us, I dare say, it is the ultimate turn-on, our deepest fantasy. That mystery is simply not there with an escort who doesn't do massage. The mystery is that you never know where it's going to lead, and that's what makes it so powerful. If the connection is there and the chemistry is right and the masseur is willing--and the fee and tip are agreeable to both parties--why should anyone object or judge?
