Humans and their behavior do not fit neatly into specific boxes for your convenience.  Your insistance that the world consists of “we are a Ford family…they must be a Chevy family” is just ridiculous.  You may also want to avoid KFC or Popeyes…if they hand you a spork, your brain may explode.

Let's not fool ourselves. A Masseur who advertises at rates double a standard massage, has nude or almost nude photos, lists his sexual preference, and often his HIV status is not simply a masseur.

So why choose a masseur? Because you want some semblance of massage before you get to the sensual stuff. 

Sure, maybe you just want a massage with some good glute work,  but I think that's pretty rare, and you wouldn't need to pay double a standard massage rate for that. 

I get a monthly massage at Hand and Stone for $80. That's not what should be offered for 200 from a guy whose ad shows him flexing in underwear.

I am afraid you entirely miss the point. It has nothing to do with human behaviour and certainly not with my convenience. It is a matter of linguistics. Language relies on mutually agreed-upon rules and shared definitions. We need conventions like these, as a universal user manual for communication to allow us to turn raw thoughts into structured messages that others can easily process and understand. That's all.

Oh pleaae.  Ask an American about football rules…then ask a European. They wont agree since they arent even talking about the same sport.   You are sadly imagining “rules” that dont exist in real life. Speaking for myself, i never agreed to them so there was never a meeting of the minds. 

If you want to use rentmasseur to find sexual partners - you do you. If you prefer a gay bar - you do you.   Understanding leads to acceptance.
