PileDriver Posted September 16 Posted September 16 (edited) haven't hired in ages....but when I am looking to hire some guys are quick to reject my advances...sometimes it's no big deal..with others I'm offended...thought we were on the same page? Any thoughts? Edited September 17 by PileDriver
Nightowl Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Can you share any details about how you approached them and what you might have said or asked for? Seems odd that you’d be rejected without some reason behind it. + JamesB, Medin, big-n-tall and 7 others 5 5
DMonDude Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Much more context is needed. Foreverfun, Whippoorwill, big-n-tall and 5 others 4 4
BaronArtz Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I hire in NYC and have never been rejected. Been doing it for about 30 years now. It must be your approach. Whippoorwill, LookingAround, Becket and 3 others 1 1 4
aiseeya Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Ghosted: yes. Ignored: yes. Under performed: yes. Never rejected upfront tho.
+ DrownedBoy Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I've been rejected by quite a few guys who got creeped by for the fantasies I hire for. I just reject them as timid and unprofessional. + Pensant and Luv2play 2

+ KensingtonHomo Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I agree with others. Unless you can provide some additional context, it's hard to offer you any advice. + DrownedBoy, LookingAround and Austin Lewis 3
MikeBiDude Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Maybe the tone of the OP’s initial request to providers is causing him a problem? + Pensant 1

GentJ Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I'd say most of the time I would pass on something it centers around some red flag about the patron's ability to pay. + DrownedBoy and + KensingtonHomo 2
Pepper Young Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I've never been rejected. The boy with the cold hard cash is always mister right.

RyTorrens Posted Sunday at 09:00 PM Posted Sunday at 09:00 PM Not sure what qualifies as a flat out reject but I often times will ask if a provider offers a certain activity (like kissing if not listed in their interest). And I'll just not get a response. I just take that as a "no" and find we aren't compatible. + DrownedBoy 1

Ghosting seems to have become the go-to response when confronted with something you don’t want to do. Manners and courtesy have gone out the window. But then, I still send hand-written thank-you notes….

Or was that an old war story? its so funny to me to see the OP make a comment like this. I had a dreadful and actually scary experience with a provider in a VERY similar way - I showed up and he was high on drugs, aggressive and threatening me if I did pay in full (I did pay in full, after 5 minutes and left) and posted here to warn others, and after I posted the warning about it @PileDriver admonished me, telling me I should be kinder/how dare I say this etc. He even wrote another big thread called "Ugly Clients and Providers With Substance Problems" about how we need to be kinder to drug addicts who threaten us. This has now given me the biggest chuckle. I guess he only gets upset or thinks people need warnings when it happens to him.
