Do most clients tell you their realistic stats when they contact you?

Recommended Posts

I remember seeing ads in the Washington Blade saying, "in shape only". Obviously in this country that wasn't a good policy but I understand why some escorts wanted to "weed out" some potential clients.

What percentage of gentlemen who contact you truthfully describe their appearance themselves while discussing booking an appointment? What does "average" or "toned" mean nowadays?

People are usually in complete denial of their physical appearance.

I don't know about discussions with escorts as I am generally just giving them my basics, not a long list of details...but I know on Grindr my profile states very specifically that I am ONLY attracted to "young athletic men under 30." Every time I sign on to that app I end up with some out-of-shape loser hitting me up.

Occasionally they ask me "what are you into ?". I again make it clear that I am INTO "young, ATHLETIC guys under 30"...and it's not unusual for these basic nobodies to cluelessly continue to pursue me as if they somehow think they qualify as "athletic".

I couldn't' agree with you more!

I don’t care what their physical appearance is. Most clients don’t disclose what they look like and I don’t ask but I’d guess around 20% send a description and a handful send a picture. In my experience clients are accurate in their description if they offer it.

This is my experience as well.

That drives me crazy too.  I'm fairly detailed in what I'm looking for so it's apparent they either didn't read or they're not good at conversing.

And just yesterday some guy posted on Sniffies a specific act he was looking for and I responded that I'd like to do that to him.  His comeback was "hey, what's up?"

🤷‍♂️

Those kind of responses frustrate me to no end.  When I first reach out to someone, I try to keep my initial questions to a max of 3.  Rates, a date range to meet and whether they are incall only or will outcall.  Two out of three of those could completely rule someone out and I hate to waste peoples time if that is the case.  Many times I get a reply back like this one and no answers to my questions.

Only two providers have asked me for a pucture of my face, and none have ever asked for my stats (those two providers apparently were ok with what they saw since we had business). The only exception was one provider who asked me if I weight more than 299 lb, but it was because that was the maximum capacity of his massage table (yes, I weight less than 299 lb). Your last question is the reason why I wouldn't give my stats, which is that many people lie, misrepresent or have convinced themselves about having a type of body or shape that they actually don't have. I also know that this is a sensitive topic to many men. Of course, I don't like being rejected because of my physical appearance, but I know of some men who get devastated when rejected that way. Like BuffaloKyle, I prefer not to deal with a provider who doesn't like my appearance, but I don't necessarily take it personal/wrong if I'm not their preferred client, or if they can afford the luxury of rejecting clients and choose not to take me. At the end of the day, I look at myself in the mirror and like what I see. I am a client, I can take my business elsewhere.

Since I've never been asked for my stats, I do not know for sure how I'd respond. Maybe it depends on the tone of how I am asked.

I’ve been asked for stats only once or twice. I’ve referred them to my profile, which is accurate. No one has turned me down, but like Kyle and others I’d rather they know and decline upfront than meet with someone who is unable to work with me.

It was certainly a necessary question to be asked. Some frequent posters wouldn't be able to use that massage table.

Plenty of threads about escorts asking for pictures, to most of us that's a non-starter because discretion matters a lot in this hobby.

I have clients that fall into 2 categories,   one that book me and have the (correct)  approach that I'm providing a service and my personal views are not relevant  and 2)  they go overboard in providing information about their stats and background to make sure it works for me (including photos).     I never ask for photos and usually don't ask much about stats when the topic comes up.

I’m with you here. I would honestly rather not know. If I am doing my job well, I don’t need the information. If anything, it’s a distraction.

Part of what the client is paying for is for me to be something and someone to him that he doesn’t have to bother attracting on his own. The client is paying for the experience of being cared for, listened to, and serviced in the way he wants, without having to appeal to whatever private preferences I have.

It’s like clients create more work for themselves by offering to pay and place pressure on themselves to “ensure” they appeal to me by over sharing. A good guy won’t let on that you’re not his cup of tea. His job is to make it seem as though you are. You will never know, and it’s better that you don’t.

The longer I work in this industry, the broader my scope of personal preferences become. There’s something beautiful in everyone.

For massage appointments, the weight limit of my massage table is relevant and finite, but I rarely have to turn someone away. My table holds 500+ lbs. Maybe I am not climbing on the table with a 400 pounder, but the client can certainly fit, no problem. Even when they exceed the limit, I make it work on another surface. Many of you already know I hate giving massages on a surface other than a pro table, but for clients who can’t fit, I am extra accommodating.

Generally, clients are pretty honest when they describe themselves, if they do at all.

That's awesome. I'm mostly concerned about letting the provider know that I'm Black. That way he can decide whether or not he is willing and able to perform, despite any preferences he might have. I can have lackluster experiences for free ... hahaha. If the provider doesn't want to work with Black guys, I don't want to hire him either. Please note that I'm not trying to start a discussion about whether or not such preferences are racist. I'm just trying to approach hiring in a way that sets me up for success. Some providers don't possess the willingness and skills to successfully engage with certain client presentations. I expect the provider to have enough insight to decline seeing me if he believes we're not a match.

Interesting take that I never thought about.  I'm an average middle aged white guy, and every provider I have hired is either black or Latin and I can't say I had a bad experience with any, and actually most were pretty great.  I think if the initial contact gives you good vibes, it will be good and if not move on.  After a recent session I had some time to talk with the provider and we discussed this very thing.  I think most want to provide a great time and if both sides are cordial and pleasant with one another, none of the other stuff matters.

I'd be curious to know if you treat clients differently when you know their stats than when you don't. Does it make a difference?

I would hope not,   I'm a professional,  but I'm also human.   I have my likes and dislikes.
