Having lived in DC for so long I've met a lot of politicians, most of whom aren't really celebrities. I live near former Senator Jay Rockefeller and have met him a few times, and I've had several conversations with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and with George Stephanopoulos. And in the sports world I had a few encounters with Michael Jordan when he was leading the Wizards, an extremely nice guy, and Bryce Harper of the Nationals, very friendly even though he has an extreme case of resting bitch face-- he looks intimidating but he's very approachable. In the entertainment realm, I was at a party with James Franco once, only spoke to him briefly but he was totally cool. And porn-wise, I don't think it counts as having met him since we have never done more than nod to each other, but Billy Santoro lives here and I see him in the grocery store all the time!

I've lived in NYC for years. I would say, that celebrities are "out and about" more commonly in certain neighborhoods. I bump into TONS of celebrities in the West Village all the time. Yoko Ono, of all people, was standing in front of my house the other day, just out strolling with a young, twink and chatting about something. Too many celebrity sightings to list, after all my years in NYC. I think the more interesting ones, were back in the late 80s./ early 90s, when you'd spy some future celebrities, getting down n' dirty at various underground clubs.

I have actually. Well not met but saw them in person. I used to work for a museum in Chicago so most celebrities tend to visit while filming here. Julia Roberts, Tommy Lee Jones, David Bowie and Iman, David Schwimmer or something, even the Queen of Norway or some country around that region.

Years ago, when Julia Roberts and Benjamin Bratt were an item, they settled here in SF. They were pretty visible, you'd see them everywhere.

Some celebs that are in live shows will do signings after and even do pics. I've met a couple celebs that way and have had my pic taken with a couple of them.

One time I was in NYC walking back to my hotel after seeing a matinee show and saw Carole Channing on 46th street. I saw a film crew walking away and a few people talked to her and I chatted with her for a couple minutes. Unknown to me they were still filming. I didn't have my camera with me and this was back when cell phone cameras weren't that good so I didn't get a pic with her but a couple years later a friend calls me up and asked me if I ever met Carol Channing and I said I saw her on the street in NYC one time and chatted with her for a couple minutes and he said he just saw a documentary and could have sworn that me in the background and it was:) A couple people later said they saw me in it in as well and of course I had to buy the DVD:)

A few years ago Kathleen Turner was in Bakersfield, Caliornia in London at a theater across the street from my hotel and I saw the play and the next night the show was dark and she was in the executive lounge at my hotel and found out she saw staying there. She was nice enough to pose for a pic with me.

Sharon Gless was in Chicago pride weekend the year Hannah Free was released and did a fund raiser at the hotel I was staying at that afternoon for LGBT law enforcement. I went to the fund raiser but wasn't able to stay for the meet and greet but saw her and her husband in the hotel exec lounge later that night and talked to her and told her I saw a big fan of Cagney and Lacy in high school and college and she had her husband take a pic of us together and asked if I was going to be in the lounge for a while and had something I might like and left and came back a few minutes later with a DVD set of Cagney and Lacey and autographed the box and gave it to me.

I'm sure many on here don't know who the singer Linda Eder is but I met her twice outside of concerts. Back when she was still married to Frank Wildhorn we both got upgraded on a Detroit to LA flight I was really excited to be sitting next to her and she seemed thrilled I knew who she was and had been to a couple of her concerts. We chatted during a lot of the flight and she joked that Frank and her son Jake were flying with her and they didn't have status and if she didn't clear the upgrade or it was a short flight she sat with them but for a long flight like Detroit to LA she wasn't turning down the upgrade and they could sit in coach:) After a couple drinks I joked with her about her pianist being really cute and she said that since most of her fans were older ladies and gay guys she heard that a lot:) Last month I was in Boston for work when she was performing and I just stayed the weekend to see her and she was at Shullers jazz club at the doubletree. I left my room to go downstairs for a drink before the show and turned out she was staying on my floor and came out of her room as I was heading to the elevators and I chatted with her for a couple minutes and she remembered me:)

A good friend of mine was lucky enough to have Elaine Stritch as a seat mate on a flight around 2005. She is a Detroit native and frequented the city when she lived in NYC and he was on a Detroit Nyc flight in an exit row. He had to make a last minute trip and the only seats available were middle seats and he said that was one trip he didn't mind making in a middle seat and laughed the entire flight. He talked to her the entire time and she loved it and was joking around. While the plane was boarding a flight attendant made the usual announcement to everyone in the exit rows asking if they were able and willing to assist, etc. He thinks the FA was concerned about her age (she would have been around in her 70s then but still got around great) and another FA asked the entire row the same thing. FA number 1 came back and told her again she was in an exit row and asked if she was able and willing to assist and Elaine looked at her and said really loud "Jesus Christ, I know I'm an old lady but I'm not a fucking invalid, now I'm having a conversation with this nice young man and I'd appreciate it you would quit interrupting me with the same question I've already answered a couple times" My friend said the FA looked shocked and he was surprised she didn't get thrown off the plane for that. My friend told her apparently the FA didn't know who she was and she said "that dip shit wouldn't recognize talent if it bit her in the ass".

I've met a couple porn stars. Colby Jenson and I have a mutual friend and I've been to a couple of the friends parties he has been at

I've run into Paul Pratt at what was the imperial

Palace at the time in Vegas and was sort of awkward since I have hired him before

I've met Dakota Brittan and Sam Diego from helix a few times but they aren't very well know stars. They know each other and we have a couple mutual friends

I met Rex chandler before he was a porn star. He lived about 45 minutes from me and a local gay bar had some contest and he won it and then went on to do porn and I know a couple of the people in the porn flick he did called cocktales and at least two of them have passed. It was pretty funny because there was a scene from the bar he won the contest at and at least one of the actors was an employee there and they had a couple cameos of people I knew there. I know the owner of the hottub where that scene was shot at and he was out of town when that was shot and was pissed when he found out later. He was a dj at that bar and the owner was house sitting for him and he quit and didn't speak to him after he found out.

Jackson lawless was on a la to Detroit flight I was on. We didn't sit by each other but was awkward because I had hired him before and I think he recognized me when he saw me in the skyclub and then I saw him pass me in the way to his seat on the plane.

I saw boomer banks eating at a restaurant one time in NYC and have seen a couple porn stars at mcc in Los Angeles

I can't say for sure, but I think I shared a table with Jessy Ares at the United club room at Reagan airport in DC. It was crowded, so he asked if he could join me at the table. When he sat down, I thought he looked familiar. He was friendly, and we stuck up a conversation. He even had an slight accent. During the course of the conversation, I asked what he did, and he gave a vague reference about something to do with Finance. Got to admit, that's an honest answer, for any of us. I thought he was a nice guy.

To be honest, I was hoping people would list porn celebrities though.

In that case, I've met quite a few porn actors (most of them probably don't consider themselves stars/celebrities ). :D

A number of which have become good friends. I won't list them all but some I've met are on the forum or were. Probably the one I've known the longest is AJ Irons. The one I probably spend the most time with in a nonsexual capacity (especially now that he is retired) is Drake Jaden. I've met some of his porn friends in the process. I also have a brotherly relationship with a straight porn actor I've mentioned before on the forum. I've even drew one of the tats he has on his body. :)

Walter Cronkite on his sailboat years ago during my boating days when he spent some time at our marina. It was a totally surreal experience. When he spoke to you and referenced you by name it made you feel as though you were part of a newscast! I did help him with his lines the day that he left.

And that's the was way it was.... really!

I met Elaine Stritch as well.. My bet is Elaine did 90% of the talking, which would be fine on a relatively short plane flight.

I was lucky enough to see Elaine and Bernadette Peters in a little night music (I also saw it with Catherine Zeta Jones and Angela Lansberry before those two replaced them and I think the show would have swept the Tony's if they would have cast Elaine and Bernadette as the originals) and she put on an amazing performance even though she was almost 90 and I remembered at the end of Liaisons she let out a loud burp, I guess it was her way of personalizing the song. I'll never forgetting watching her interview a few months before she passed on the today and she said the F word and it didn't get bleeped:) I thought I misunderstood what she said since they didn't bleep her but an hour later it was all over the internet

Years ago I visited a friend who lived in NYC and went to an afternoon performance of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof

with Kathleen Turner, Charles During, Polly Holliday and Daniel Hugh Kelly. Afterwards we went around the

corner to eat and while we were there Kathleen Turner and Daniel Kelly came in. When we finished eating I went to

wash my hands and passed their table. I looked down and told them how much I enjoyed the performance.

Kathleen thanked me and asked where I was from and I told her St Louis and she starts telling me about being

from Springfield Missouri and we talked a minute until her bodyguard came over from the bar and she shooed

him away and said it was okay. But I went ahead and left. She was super nice and friendly, I was impressed.

I never met him, but my second cousin used to be married to Luke Perry's father. Luke portrayed an eighteen-year-old high school student in Beverly Hills 90210, but I think he was in his early 40's at the time. lol.

I mention it as often as I can and the response is usually, "Luke who?"

LOL! Luke Perry, in his 50's, now playing Archie Andrew's dad, Fred, on Riverdale, a new CW show loosely based on the Archie Comics, but where all the high school boys, including Jughead, who here seems the philosopher-in-residence, continuously blogging, and a gay character, Kyle, with whom I was unfamiliar (who happens to be Betty's "closest" bud) are all gorgeous guys. Even most of the older men playing fathers, teachers, etc., are cast with great looking men:

  • 2 weeks later...
Patrick Macnee, Stacy Keach, Hermione Gingold, Pearl Baily, Ted Shackelford, Stevie Wonder.

Poor Ted... Met him once in 1989 and he was so hot and I've never been into blonde men, but damn, he looked good. 28 years later, he is almost unrecognizable. Time has not been kind to him, but when I looked in the mirror this morning I could say the same of myself!

A few years back, I was at the departure gate at LAX end route to Toronto. To pass time I bought a huge sugar-coated donut. After taking my first bite, Richard Simmons (and entourage) walked up to me and in a loud voice asked, "Are you going to EAT that?" To which I replied, "why? Do you want a bite?"

I would have gone with" Everything but the hole, so you can eat my hole if you like.
