SFChinois Posted yesterday at 05:34 AM Posted yesterday at 05:34 AM hey forum, are you guys seeing the new minimum rate for escorts $400? this seems to be the case as escorts arrive into SF. this is def making me more wary of hiring the way I use to. I have to really decide if this escort is worth it. : (. thoughts? Jacob_b 1
DMICS Posted yesterday at 06:13 AM Posted yesterday at 06:13 AM (edited) It depends on the major city. I still see the minimum over the past year or so being $350-300 in most cases. Even in New York. Obviously there's the premium 1% looks and physique wise whose ask is in the $400-500 range. One slight trend I've seen locally the past few months is some guys who were asking for $350 have now dropped back to $300. SFChinois Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM Author Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM it use to be 300-350. even the not so premium guys are trying to ask for 400 in sf. LOL
Moke Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM Posted yesterday at 06:22 AM In SF I’m still mostly seeing 300. And 350 for some. If a rate is 400+ I pass. And I let them know that it’s too high. My paycheck is not keeping up. SFChinois and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1
Tandy Newton Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Yep, same here, got that quote and couldn’t stomach it enough to even respond. I’m just going to start attending my local bathhouse if I’m desperate for body contact. A hot couple have been pinging me a lot on Sniffies, might take them up on their offer one of these days. There is also a local jerk off club; remember meeting some really hot guys there. I get it, travel, accommodations, everything has gone up, but so has my cost of living too. I know clients aren’t biting either. A hot provider was in town for a week. Came in as Top only but looks like no one was showing any interest. Last few days I see them showing up on Sniffies as verse and then verse/top on RM. Looks like they went home to LA with nothing to show for it. Not counting out the amount free porn online and my right hand either. + Vegas_Millennial, SFChinois and + Pensant 2 1

nomad Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago there seems to be more start quoting $400 in SF. However, most are open to offers for less. Just depends on how much interest there is from clients at $400. A few of the providers have noted clients in SF don't negotiate as much as in LA and NYC. Everyone bargains and asks for deals in Vegas apparently. Was interesting to hear their perspectives. SFChinois 1

At the same time though I have noticed that prices for erotic massage have increased in some cases, where providers are now in the 230-250 range what’s before it was around 200. DMICS 1

savantsav Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Reminds me, this escort would check out my RM profile and ping me at times to see if I wanted to book and I would tell him that I wasn't really interested, his profile said verse/bottom and I'm a bottom so I just wasn't interested. He said "I'll give ya a deal of $300" (I'm in LA) and I told him I would reach out cause I was traveling at the time. About a month and a half later, I reach out over text ask him how he is doing yada yada and when I talk about booking time and we choose a time he replies "It's $350/hr" and I went "Wait, didn't you say $300?!" and he said "OK I can do that". He comes over, we have some fun (nothing amazing/incredible) and he leaves, a few days later I check and he had given me a MR NUMBER review saying 'Cheap guy' (and I know it was him cause I hadn't booked anyone in two months). Well, he got a review back "SCAMMER AVOID". I don't negotiate, I've paid 500/hr with a min of 2 hours to 250/300hr in LA to all sorts, I have no issue with it. What I have an issue with is moving the target after agreeing on something, or worse going in the middle of the session "Kissing is $50 more, Cum is $50, etc" + Vegas_Millennial, BonVivant and Moke 1 1 1

It literally costs the escort nothing but an hour or two of his time. How much is enough? You want $500, $1000/hr. When do we, clients, say enough is enough! cany10011 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago My 3 weekly regulars in NYC charge: 350, 500, and 700 respectively. + Vegas_Millennial 1
+ Vegas_Millennial Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) My 5 annual regulars in NYC charge $250, $300, $300, $350, $400. I've booked an additional 2 new guys for my upcoming NYC trip this weekend at $300 and $400. One potential new guy quoted me $400 plus Uber. That's enough to make me pass, because I am perfectly happy with my 7 other guys at $250-$400 without an Uber. Edited 9 hours ago by Vegas_Millennial DMICS, BonVivant and Midtownm4m 3
Moke Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago How timely. A week ago I had reached out to someone visiting sf to inquire in advance of his visit. . He just wrote me today “sorry- I just saw this”. And quoted me 400. (So i guess you may be on to something, @SFChinois So I wrote back “sorry, that’s above local rates”. He’s hot but not that hot. There is a 1-5% top tier that I’d be willing to go that high for. The rate was only 200 not that long ago, lol. SFChinois, + Vegas_Millennial and Midtownm4m 1 2
+ DrownedBoy Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago The only people who quote 400 to me are really popular escorts with 100 reviews. I stopped hiring those types. I've met escorts ask for 350 who instantly accept 500 for two hours, down to 250 effectively. Also, the past months I've been contacted several times by old providers and new ones desperate to get hired. The K shaped economy is hitting them hard, so it's a buyer's market, from what I can tell. Midtownm4m, BonVivant, + Vegas_Millennial and 1 other 1 1 1 1

I'm guessing because of SF's reputation for being the gay capital of America (and also a major city) that there's a spike with local and visiting providers.

He quoted me 500 and i politely declined "sorry, that's way above local rates. most guys here ask 300" That was it. i didn't imply i was bargaining, just sharing that his rate was not typical here (especially since he's fine, but not top 5% of ads)... and he wrote back right away that "if i have time, i could probably make that work".
MikeBiDude Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Well I’ve mentioned this before…if they’re asking these rates they’re getting them from some clients. The microcosm of clients that are here on COM are better educated than most clients. When escorts consistently quote rates that “we” think are too much, they’re getting that rate elsewhere. + Vegas_Millennial, DMICS and Whoisyourdaddy 2 1

Escorting is hard work and escorts put a lot of effort into their jobs even when they're off the clock. I'm not familiar with San Francisco, but many popular cities for escorts have high lodging costs. A one hour session for $300 isn't enough to break even for the day in these cities.
