Is anyone else noticing a drop in escort pricing?

Frankly, $350-$400 a hour for most markets is too expensive! On top of that high fee, most providers expect to be reimbursed an Uber, for in calls, and a generous tip or gift! Frankly, No escort is worth that much money!! Many may disagree with me on this! That’s my humble opinion!

It helps if the provider hosts. Their hosting saves the client around $200, which sometimes justifies the high rate. It also resolves the rideshare issue.

Maybe in Mexico or Brasil u can find cheaper guys.

You are in US u don’t realize how much money we spent on that trips.

We can start for the rm I spent almost 500 in a month, plus nice hotels with good location, Ubers, flight tickets, food.

I don't know about prices yet, but the supply is definitely increasing on the provider side from new guys, which you have to be cautious with.

Given how crappy the economy and job market is for young people, I can understand the influx.

Plus, a lot of guys are travelling, and I started receiving dry RMs from traveling providers (I politely declined so didn't get their rates).

One problem I see is that guys from LA or NYC go travelling around and think they'll get the same or more money in other places, failing to realize they're already in the highest priced market, and are overpriced to most other cities. I'm not paying NY prices in Chicago.

I am travelling all over US. And NY is not like that to be honest. I spent more money in small cities then nyc 

nyc we have the subway u don’t need uber, a lot places close to buy food for a good price.

all the other places we need uber for everything.

Demand comes first in pricing.

I think the lower rates align with entry-level. Newbies with few reviews and minimal available vid content must ask less $$ because their market wants proof before hiring at peak rate. Once several clients book a second/third appt and word gets out, beginners rates will climb. 

Hiring is something that takes a hit in a downturn economy. Fixed incomers will be hit by higher expenses, and the luxuries of self-care get put aside for a windfall.

You made some good points Cuteebrazilian on your high costs in the US. I now realize your out of pocket expenses are more than I had anticipated. You certainly have every right to charge the market rate, in every city you travel to. I do respect all escorts, that give an excellent experience to their providers. But, as a client, I am finding the higher rates being charged, are causing me to cut back dramatically on regularly hiring. If other clients like myself are decreasing their hiring, and being hit by increasing personal expenses, in addition to the increasing number of available escorts, who are sub par……that is concerning for clients and providers.

Even in LA I'm seeing a trend toward yes. What was once a typically high range of $400 - $550 , is now being more replaced by $250 - $400 ranges. But of course just sporadic anecdotal sample sizes.

LA market starts at 350/hr. It’s one of a handful of places that is more expensive than most metros hovering around 300 average for any guy, regardless of looks, experience, or performance/reputation.

Not sure about Ubers or other expenses, but purely for the provider’s hourly service charge, LA has been at 350 for at least a few years. I would not expect this particular market to fall downward, as it is a large metro with many a monied man willing to spend as much, if not more.

Maybe some of the guys who were over pricing in recent years will either lower their fees or exit the industry. Those of us charging a reasonable rate aren’t changing. Some I know are considering raising their prices. Hate to break it to you gents, but prices are not exactly plummeting.

As someone who lives in the Midwest: I feel Chicago is expensive; compared to Omaha, Tulsa, Wisconsin. When I drive thru Illinois: the tolls, traffic, needing to be closer to the city etc. all adds up. 

Even St. Louis, which for awhile seemed like a “cheaper” city, they’ve been modeling Chicago in prices for like going out to eat, housing and hotel stays etc in certain areas and the hotels in town run more than towns like Dallas/Houston. 
 

I think overall: shit has become more expensive when it comes down to rent, going out etc. A single or coupled gay man probably isn’t as affected as a big family is: but in some areas, they’re still being cheap about spending, disparage guys who charge or ask for “gas money”.

I’m grateful for the many clients who do see me: but across the board it’s been REAL slow in certain areas. RentMasseur isn’t as busy, RentMen has tons of views but few actual bookings. The small towns hardly have any providers, yet the bigger cities are jam packed with guys. There’s a big discrepancy and it’s translating to: it’s not hitting as much in the smaller towns. But the bigger cities have become so full with guys it’s hard to get noticed. I sometimes scroll thru, and the page reloads 4-5 times with more and more guys. If I were a client, I wouldn’t know who to pick lol.

MEANWHILE: sites like the one below (I am NOT condoning anyone here use it for M4M services but it’s just for reference) have only a few select men in each city, and their rates are way more than what is usually offered on the RM sites.

New providers don't know market rates and often charge less than they're worth. The average price going down may reflect an influx of newcomers. The experienced and in demand escorts don't change their prices.
