Size exaggeration

I recently hired an escort who claimed to have a thick 8 inch endowment.   In reality, in the flesh, he was about average endowed.  He knew what to do with it, but I was nonetheless disappointed.

A question for escorts: Knowing the tendency to exaggerate cock size, do you also inflate your measurements because that's the industry standard?  Or do you keep it honest so as to not disappoint clients -- or, maybe, they are surprised that you're bigger than they assumed (because they're used to guys with 6 inches claiming 7.5, and they adjust in their minds accordingly when they hire?(

Worth addressing: the difficulty of assigning a number to the intangibles of cock size.  There are so many other qualities to a dick than just what the ruler says that impact your perception of size.

I prefer to say 7 and let my photos do the talking.   Mine stands up straight and gets super hard - careful it'll break before it bends! - so it's visually impressive and looks bigger.

Totally agree. I have preferences around shape, girth, direction. An as a bottom, I'm not interested in pushing my limits. 

I find that 7-9 is my sweet spot, depending on other factors.

It annoys me to no end when guys exaggerate their size in ads. I've lost track of how many guys said they were 7" and turned out to be around 5 1/2. The issue is that when someone puts a size in their profile it sets up certain expectations.

I think it becomes impossible to attract customers when the expectations are so artificially high.

The last I researched I do not believe that the International Bureau of Weights and Measures has a section on how to measure a penis - top side or bottom side (and where do you start the measurement on the bottom side and do you measure along the curve/diagonal or the absolute distance from starting point to tip and is do you measure while soft, semi-soft, hard or super-hard.

I will generally take stats or even pics (perspective is everything) with a major grain of vanity.  And none of the guys in the industry that are offering up their services want to be considered "just average".  If you like what you see, go for it.  I don't tend to obsess over the matter.  I tend to be more focused on whether or not it gets hard while we are playing (see my comments in another thread).  I tend to like to hang onto it while playing and edge it along to a fun ending.

Nothing more disappointing and sad than a guy with a massive cock who can't conjure enough blood flow to get it hard. Wishful thinking, yes, but posted age and size have to bear SOME relationship with the real world.  Everyone I know who's 5'10" or 5'11" claims to be six feet tall, and I accept that as harmless vanity, but if an escort says he's six feet and when I open the door he's 5'7", there's already a problem.  That's true even though I'm happy to hire guys who are 5'7" (and often do).  It's the discrepancy between reality and expectations that disappoints.  The same principle applies to dick size.

I agree with you, and I’m not saying that misleading stats on a profile are acceptable. However, the reality is that most providers don’t have accurate or up-to-date information on their profiles. I usually assume they are a bit older, shorter, heavier, and have a smaller D size than listed. For me, what matters most is that the pictures match the person who opens the door. If they don’t, or if the photos are very outdated, that’s a dealbreaker, and I’ll simply walk away.

I could understand fudging the numbers a little bit, especially to match certain filters, but being completely deceitful can’t possibly yield positive results… back when I was on the hookup apps, I made a point of making my stats as accurate as possible to the extent of even changing my age on my birthday.  And I was still turned away a couple of times for not being what the hookup expected, so I could only imagine how much higher the stakes would be if there was money involved.
