Really depends on the layout. There are spots in my company's office where I could see something like this happening especially with many people wfh most of the time.

Not until around 10-ish years ago have there been the "invading" of the fun of the crowd-goers for strippers who are intentionally geared for an audience of a specific sex. While "men are welcome" to strip shows like "The Men of Playgirl", "Thunder from Down Under", etc., the intended target of the entertainment is just for women.

Now, I'm seeing the reverse with women essentially just by being in the crowd, turning gay men away from wanting to go to places like Stock Bar to see men dancing for what used to be only men.

In the past, there were ZERO men at Chippendale's shows, and ZERO women at Bodybuilder Jams. The crowd had a great time, and each sex didn't think twice about "wanting to be there, too - that's not fair!" Now, I can't even go to a male thong swimwear event that's been going on for many, many years since all of a sudden there's women crying foul that it's sexist and unacceptable, blah blah.

Nowadays, you'll see babies in strollers in bars, and non guide dogs inhaling casino smoke next to their evil owners. Now I'm the one crying about what I find unacceptable in public these days!

Preach! 🙌

I am late to the thread, but feel strongly that women should not be allowed into gay sex events. At the Gaiety back in the day, women started coming. The dancers ignored the gay guys until they realized that these women expected sex for free. Their screeching bothered everybody.

Some cities have trains (Rio, for example) of which only women can ride. It recognizes the fact that some men are pigs and will cop a feel or more when they think they can get away with it. Men should have their own spaces to be pigs, such as strip bars! Gay bar, gay clientele.

Campus in MTL has a womens bathroom upstairs, however none of the women want to go up there. So they made the only tiny bathroom on the main floor for both sexes. Women were just going in there anyways, but now they have actually updated the signage to both sexes.

There is only one stall and 3 urinals. So there is always a line of 3-4 women watching you take a leak at the urinals. It's a really weird vibe.

Also I don't get why Campus and Stock both still have ladies night, when now every night is actually ladies night. What they need is a men only night.

I remember the first time I visited a gay strip club in Hongdae, and I was really struck by how different the vibe was compared to what I was used to. It was all about the energy of the men for the men, and I thought that was pretty unique. Now, I’ve heard some places are struggling with this “everyone’s welcome” mentality, and I can’t help but feel like it changes the experience.

So you guys think all women are the same as your mom ? She's going to shame you for letting loose with some sexy men ? 🤔

My birth mother was/is a slut. I don't want to see her in a men's locker room while I'm trying to blow the coach, lest she intervenes and takes the coach away for herself

Good news!

At Johnson's Ft Lauderdale last week, cover charge on Friday and Saturday nights after 8pm was $10 for men and $20 for women and other.

Compared to my previous annual visits, the crowd, the quality of dancers, and level of fun onstage and in the VIP area was a big improvement over previous years where cover charges were the same for both sexes.  The floor was still packed with customers, but this year the split was about 99/1 men/women, compared to about 90/10 men/women in years past.  One dancer told me the crowd tips more now.

I think there’s something special about spaces that are specifically for one crowd—like how 신촌셔츠 in the shirt room has this unspoken rule about who the energy is meant for. It’s not about exclusion, just about preserving a certain dynamic. Does anyone else feel like some of these changes are making things feel less authentic?

As a log time fan of strippers and the men who tip them, I love the idea of gay sex imagery (including extreme porn being everywhere) inside a male strip club aimed at a gay male audience.
Plus…
1. Hard rule: No groups larger than 3 persons. (Men rarely travel in packs)

2. No extra fee for entry, but a charge to use the one restroom that gets cleaned.

3. Male customers are not to touch the female patrons, but are free to point, laugh, and make fun of their clothes and hair and get a free drink for apt comparisons to Dorothy Zbornak or Laura Ingraham.

Make them feel out of place, old and so skeeved out that they want to leave. They can’t sue for not having fun. (It’s no different than being a sissy in phys ed class…)
