I don't condone the stalking, but I can understand it. 😛

Random attacks are a curse of our present-day society. While walking through NYC's Grand Central Station a man I had never met walked up to me and punched me in my chest. As outraged as I was, I was also thankful that it was not a knife or a gunshot.

I can respect that view for random responders, but not for trained law enforcement officers.

I say begin at the beginning, how is it that an individual, allegedly not an employee of the university, granted access and authority to conduct students' physical training exercises?

My armchair curiosity is why it is that in such situations as the one described above, police officers could not take aim to disable rather than kill (target the perpetrator's legs for instance)?

It's a bitter pill, but one should never count on other people's money.

This pitfall is not limited to "hires." There are countless stories concerning celebrities that have fallen prey to infatuations that escalated into stalkings. A former co-worker of mine decided to end his relationship with a girlfriend to focus on his career. The girlfriend would not let go and the situation became very intense. Eventually, they parted, I don't know how amicably. My point is that it is not uncommon to fall for someone unatainable, I've been there. It hurts for awhile, of course, but surrendering to logic and reason significantly eases the pain of withdrawal.
