can't say I miss Rockhard in the traditional sense of the word/sentiment, but his legendary thread involving a desperate search for a just-right pair of underwear can't be missed.....read the whole thread!...... and @Lookin for god's sake, don't ever leave!!

I shall never forget Rick Munroe trying to meet RockHard  who lives close by in New York. RH never showed up. Ever.

Rockhard was a FRAUD, pure and simple.  Anyone buying his endless self-obsession bullshit was a fool.   We always butted heads because I had a REAL pic of him that a friend of HIS sent me, and he knew I could expose him.  He was just a middleaged, out-of-shape, balding "regular" dude, and not the glorified, gifted God he presented himself to be.  His self loathing of what he truly was made him INVENT the person he WANTED to be..... and he worked overtime to try and convince everyone he was just that, never meeting anyone he spoke with on this site or over at Boytoy.....

Who was the poster living in Minneapolis who died?  He posted here that he'd struggled with his illness (cancer??) but that the fight was over and he said goodbye to us, then someone posted later he died.  He was nice, I just don't remember his handle.  Being from Minnesota, originally, myself, he and I talked privately as well.  He seemed to handle his impeding demise really well.

Adam Smith for his love and insight regarding music, Dante, and so much else!

Plus, indubitably JT Brooklyn aka Brooklyn Guy just for being himself!  The most knowledgeable poster regarding all things “working guy”!

Not to mention my two sometimes partners in crime doitb4ugo and NYTomcat.

Did anyone ever actually meet him? I gotta say, sometimes a tiny part of me wonders if it was all an extended creative writing exercise.

That can also be said for many other members.  But as long as I choose to participate, i'll suspend my gut belief and just accept everyone at face value.

I have noticed that there are some posters who come on to this scene - post very regularly for a period of time and then disappear.  Perhaps they join to get support or input while working through an issue, or find this community and enthusiastically join for a period of time.  There are other posters like me, who have been around for a while, but only post when they really want to say something.

One of the members I miss is leigh.bess.toad who contributed often for a while and organized some of the DC get togethers.

I met a really nice poster at a couple of the Palm Springs Weekends.  If I remember correctly he was originally from some place in upstate New York but spent much of his time in Florida.  When his health really got bad he was forced to move back to New York to receive family support.  I know he died.  Unfortunately I can't remember his name.  He was a good friend of Tristan Baldwin who we also haven't heard from recently.

I remember having a conversation with him near the end about whether he was fearful and he said that he was not.  I have found that conversation helpful to recall on certain occasions.   Northern Traveller was a very nice man that I encountered in Pam Springs and we had the same taste in escorts, we love them all.

Tom Kat  I met him in person when he first arrived here and then he became quite the ingenue and ultimately he was a comet that streaked across this sky, met a cop and settled down.

Leigh.best.toad also married and left for the suburbs

Rick Munroe and his ?alterego Doug69. Both of them.  Though Rick did appear here not too too long ago

Victor Powers and Sean Knight  I test with Victor now and again and I have communicated with Sean and I know he is training professional athletes at this time and right now he is at the Olympics.   Also Alec Andrews despite my personal falling out with him, he brought a certain self confident panache to the forum and Palm Springs.

GeminiBear and Doitb4Ugo joined about the same time and left about the same time.  Nice guys who brought a very bro vibe to the forum.  One loved sports and the other loved his wife but wanted to have sex with men and brought that conflict here.   He gave a nice blow job.

Steven Draker  and of course FireIceWizard Who does not think of one without the other?

Many others that I recall fondly when an old thread is restarted and I see a post from them.

Anybody remember Taveller?  He was a wealthy, youngish, Lawyer.  LOVED big dicked Tops.  Overdosed, I believe.  Fun poster.

How about, before Fin Fang Foom, TruthTeller, the prick; anyone remember him? Mean as he was he was often funny.

And even before TruthTeller there was Skeptic.

Hey what was the name of the guy who worked for law enforcement down in San Diego?

WoodLawn was impossible, just impossible.  Totally inflexible.

@Funseeker 22was an early poster who died several years ago.

@ltlrnr was an irregular poster from Palm Springs who died too early.

@WillHe was the university prof I liked a lot.

@Boston Guy

@Jake

@DickHo

@Stephan Lacoste

@Tampa Yankee

@Matt_Vancouver

@Juan Vancouver

Just check the early pages and the names will fly at you. We often say "gone, but not forgotten" but that is sadly not always true.
