Basically he annoyed Daddy was my impression of why Avalon got the boot.

Was it Avalon that annoyed Guy or was it everyone else complaining about Avalon that annoyed guy.  Frankly, the poor guy was well meaning….

RE: Avalon.

Members (including me) thought many of his posts were trivial fluff and space wasters,   but it was like a trainwreck...they couldnt NOT look away, and i think it took up alot of their time ?

Some of it was entertaining, you just needed time to sort thru it all....

And you never could figure out what WOULD or would not irritate Daddy..... you just took your chances and hoped NOT to be "locked out"...

There are so many I remember, though don't exactly miss, and almost all of them have been mentioned already. Woodlawn, for instance, was a reincarnation of someone else whose name I can no longer remember (it started with an R), but who went into a complete meltdown when I criticized something he had posted, and he started screaming all sorts of ridiculous curses at me, so that Hooboy suspended him. JD Daniels stalked me, but luckily I avoided actually meeting him. Some I met briefly, like bigvalboy, Rendie, and Tampa Yankee, some I knew well off the site, like jackhammer and latlrnr, both now deceased. One who has not been mentioned was lankypeters, who hasn't posted for a few years; I was surprised to discover some time after we both started posting that he was someone I had known well as a work colleague three decades earlier.

I note that @TumYum's avatar is of Leninist/Marxist Antonio Gramsci ......

hmmm, I wonder......did I forget to mention another missed forum member?!

Not necessarily, unless he’s actually “missed”😂…but this is an inclusive space open to all who play nice, right?

I always wanted to meet Juan Vancouver. He made such intelligent and interesting posts on the forum. Unfortunately he's on the other side of the continent.

I met with Juan not too long ago (earlier this year? last year? it's all a blur...) and at the end of the session, I mentioned how I enjoyed his old posts from the forum. He laughed at the blast from the past. He had forgotten about it, and wondered if he should check the forums out again.

How does he look these days. I have seen his ad on RM from time to time and he seems to use pics from 15 years ago. If he is active in the market, he really should update what he looks like now.

I thought he looked like his pictures. Maybe a bit less cut, but a lot of people have not escaped COVID weight...

I developed a nice friendship with Avalon during his time here. We chatted extensively and we exchanged quite a lot of porn (he was very much into Bel Ami boys, and so am I). He led a very lonely life, he had no family, very poor health -diabetes among other things-, as well as serious mobility issues because of severe knee problems. We kept e-mailing somehow regularly after he was banned from here, and he finally took the plunge to move into a retirement home where he was getting the care he so much needed. Unfortunately, he hasn’t responded to the last messages I sent him in March so, with the pandemic and all, I do fear for the worst.

Raul from Chicago. He disappeared a long time ago.

I had forgotten about Raul. I met him at a PS Weekend years ago…

Raul G. Manzo is still very much alive and kicking in Chicago. Back when RGM stopped posting here he told me he had devoted (wasted!) way too much time on the forum and decided to basically step away, so he actually stopped posting/reading the forum a number of years before he actually retired from escorting.

Since retirement, he has continued seeing some of his regulars, but mostly has been living his best life. He still has that sharp, fascinating outlook on life, politics, and personal causes. He remains the impressive Renaissance man I met so many years ago!

I remember talking with him about his conviction that biking was the only reasonable way to get around in Los Angeles.

His knowledge of Chicago and its neighborhoods was awesome.  I remember a long, fascinating after-dinner walk with him many years ago.
