Dexter......yeah, a little late to the party, I know!.....but I only got home wifi and, therefore, streaming this last summer......yeah, a little late to the party, I know!

I'm liking Dexter a lot......cool characters, nice script, and I got to see John Lithgow's butt!.......

I tried Schitt's Creek a while ago....despite the Emmys sweep and all the buzz, it didn't bite me......maybe I'm not sophisticated enough......

Not a fan of Schitt's Creek myself. Arrested Development is another story altogether. LOED IT!!!

Just finished The Good Place. Season four was much better than seasons two and three.

Schitts Creek takes a few episodes - I didn’t stay with it the first time, but once into it by about 4-5 episodes, the payoffs increased. Try it again. Do it for Catherine.

Agreed. Stay with jt. There are some minor roles throughout with a couple of hunky dudes that make it well worth the time. “David”’s over the top swish does get a little tiresome. But I guarantee that Moira’s vocabulary is the best ever,

Totally agree, I found seasons 1 and 2 slow and patchy but I persevered as I loved most of the actors, and once season 3 started it hit its stride and I binged on the rest. Catherine amazing, but honestly, with the possible exception of Roland Schitt I don't think there is a weak link. The only stretch of the imagination is the relationship between Patrick and David, but I will not comment further for those who haven't watched it yet!

I don't think it's streaming yet. I've just seen a couple teasers for it. According to this article it'll be filmed early next year and air Fall 2021. Can't imagine how they'll restart it. Does Dexter pick up with Hannah and Harrison in Argentina?

Élite: this one gets my biggest thumbs up. A murder mystery/drama set in a posh private high school in the Madrid outskirts. My big beef with the show, like so many teen dramas, is that the 20-something cast looks like they're in the 20s, not high school. But once you forgive them for that, the show is great soapy fun: cheesey-good melodrama, engaging characters, and a sexy cast not the least bit shy about showing skin. I loved the gay love story, Ander & Omar. Ander has a smokin' bod, and Omar's eyes just melt me. The actors have great chemistry, and you totally buy into them as a couple. I'm so glad they'll both be in Season 4.

Thanks to @BSR‘s post here from March 2020, I stated watching Élite on Netflix.

So season 4 is out now on Netflix. I’m really enjoying the first 4 episodes and can’t wait to continue. This may motivate you to watch:

Thanks for the heads-up that Season 4 is now available.  I subscribe to Netflix only sporadically because I end up watching it way too much.  A continuous subscription is like keeping too much junk food in the house.  But Élite Season 4 is definitely worth watching, plus I think Money Heist posted its final season.

An anecdote about Money Heist's popularity:  cast member Enrique Arce said that when he was in Buenos Aires, the president of Argentina asked him to come to the presidential residence because he was such a fan of the show.  When heads of state are summoning you to meet with them, you know your show has hit the big time.

Yes it has. I’m crushing on Miguel Herràn who was in season 1 of Élite and all seasons of Money Heist.

Miguel Herrán had an interesting start to his acting career.  He was hanging out with a couple of friends & chugging a liter of beer on a Madrid sidewalk 2am on a school night when director Daniel Guzmán walked by.  Guzmán called his attention and asked him if he would audition for him.  Herrán auditioned the next day, got the part, and ended up winning the Goya (Spain's Oscar) for Best New Talent.  The rest is history.

I binged the first 2 seasons of THE MESHUGANAH MRS. MAISEL in a day and a half over the weekend, so obviously I enjoyed it, but I have a few criticisms:

1.  The entire cast kept mispronouncing her name.  I knew a family growing up named Maisel, and it's pronounced myZELL.  They could've just had her use MAYzle as a stage name, because the audiences & club owners kept calling her that.

2.  The end of the 2nd season was supposed to mark a year since Joel left.  I know that's a good milestone to use for dramatic effect, but it seemed far too quick for everything that happened in the 2 seasons to happen,  given the era & the lack of successful women stand ups at the time, especially considering Midge's complete lack of experience & Susie's lack of experience as a manager.

The first season ended with Midge's boffo set at The Gaslight, & using her name onstage for the first time. That should've been the one year mark.  Then the telethon appearance & subsequent offer of a 6 month tour that ended season 2 should've been the 2nd anniversary of Joel leaving.

3.  Joel's mother seems like one of those characters writers come up with to throw every stereotype and eccentricity at, figuring the audience will find her so ridiculous they'll laugh at her on sight.  EPIC FAIL!  I found her character extremely annoying any time she was onscreen.

4.  Midge's mom seemed like a believable character for me, except for her reliance on psychics.  Nothing about her character seemed 'old-world' to me, she didn't seem massively tied to 'the traditional ways' and she was fairly cosmopolitan, so the psychic visits did not ring true to me.

5.  I think Tony Shalhoub did a good job bringing the character as written to life, but he seemed more like a caricature than a character to me.  I originally thought his scenes in Paris when he stayed with Rose for a while were kind of a saving grace for the character, but when I thought about it, nothing else in the 2 seasons made it seem like he'd have the patience or social graces to have that in him.

Did anybody recognize Midge's (& Abe's) lawyer?  It was Doogie Howser's best friend, Vinny Delpino.

Landscapers. Olivia Colman gets all these Best Actress nominations and awards for basically playing Olivia Colman but in Landscapers she's in a deep psychological piece different than any character she's played. Even more so than The Lost Daughter movie out now on Netflix that is top rated (but not by me). Now that she's not queen anymore I guess she has time for a lot of parts.  Landscapers is only 4 45-minutes episodes on HBO, so you can still get some work/sex in.

I stumbled on a "Scandinavian" category of shows on Prime that has some really nice new Swedish, Danish and Finnish series. They have good acting about normal but interesting people. Just watched "Anxious People", a sweet Swedish 8-part hostage/comedy that takes place at Christmas and New Years coincidentally. Don't ask me how Swedish series are so relatable to Americans but they are in a Fargo way (and their addiction to IKEA).
