finished Ozark...not sure how i feel about the ending.

I'm not sure how I feel either, just watched the last episode last night. Too early for any spoilers, but wow, SO much happening...I had so many theories about how it might end and pretty much scored a zero. I've not watched the retrospective 'making of' yet, probably tonight.

I finished S4 and also watched the making of Ozark bonus video.

I agree, Julia Garner is great.

Richard Thomas did a great job too.  He really brought it!

Probably too soon to critique much more.   Will wait for others to finish.

OMG - that was John-Boy Walton as Wendy's father?  I totally did not recognize him.  Yes, he was great.

Yes, John Boy!

IMO Richard Thomas and Julia Garner should each win an Emmy.

Also liked Nathan's bible beater sidekick Annalise.  Great actress, Jane Mcneill.

Spencer Treat Clark is also a cutie. I need to see more of him. 😁

I really liked the character of Chrisjen Avasarala - to really appreciate the character you need to read the books (especially book 3).  Sadly she wasn't present in season 3.  Hope she makes a comeback in the next season. 😎

Yes it has. I’m crushing on Miguel Herràn who was in season 1 of Élite and all seasons of Money Heist.

I just finished watching Seasons 4 & 5 of "Money Heist."  Wow, I think it's the best series I've ever seen: a super-sophisticated plot, great twists, compelling characters, edge-of-your-seat suspense.  "Velvet" is still my sentimental favorite, but "Money Heist" is in a league of its own.

I've heard that the MH producer wants to do a prequel with Berlin as the protagonist.  If so, I can't wait because Berlin is my favorite character.

I finished "After Life" last night, I was ugly-crying.  Sounds like there are no plans for any more, 3 seasons is it.

Never been a Ricky Gervais fan but After Life was brilliant. Sweet thoughtful ending.

I really liked Mr Inbetween, streaming on Hulu.  An odd mix of gritty comedy and drama centered around a criminal for hire in Australia.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention - really enjoyed the show. Lots of really good scenes.  Netflix series Lincoln Lawyer is next on my list.

I've recommended it to quite a few people; you're the first to give any feedback.  Thanks. :)

I finished "The Barrier," a series about a dystopian Spain in the year 2045.  After a nuclear WW3 and a terrible plague (series was written & shot pre-Covid), Madrid is divided into a wealthy section, where people live in security and abundance, and a poor section, where people suffer from food shortages, squalor, and martial law.  The barrier is the Berlin Wall-style fence that divides rich from poor.

It started a bit slow but picked up about halfway, and the last 2 episodes were action-packed awesome.  It runs for only 1 season, 13 episodes.  It's on Netflix & definitely worth a binge.

Just binged Elite Season 5… still better than porn.

I didn't like Season 4 that much, probably because they introduced some new characters I didn't like (mostly Mencía).  But I got over it by Season 5, thanks to the smokin' hot Carvalhos (Iván and his dad).  That gay sex scene in Episode 5 -- holy sh*t!!  I was still fanning myself the next day.  Season 6 can't come soon enough.  Élite is the best guilty pleasure on Netflix!

I watched Ingobernable on Netflix (28 40-minute episodes).  Great premise:  the First Lady of Mexico is about to divorce her husband.  On the night she's about to leave, they fight, she's knocked unconscious, the president is murdered, and she's framed for the crime.  Unfortunately, too many plot twists and turns, some preposterous shootouts, and some really bad acting (the daughter was the worst) manage to ruin a great start.  Worst of all, they ended Season 2 with a helluva cliffhanger, but since the series wasn't renewed for Season 3, you're left hanging.  With so much else to watch on Netflix, don't bother with this one.

Ugh, I picked 2 duds in a row.  I chose a Netflix miniseries Someone Has To Die mostly for Carmen Maura, long time muse of director Pedro Almodóvar.  It's called a miniseries, but it's really just a 2h15m movie divided up in 3 parts.  The principal theme is the repression of Franco's dictatorship in 1950s Spain, particularly hard for the gay son of a wealthy Spanish family.  The movie was filled with ugly characters doing ugly things to each other, which made for a thoroughly unpleasant viewing experience.  Skip past this one.

High Seas came out with a third season, although much shorter than the first 2, just 6 40-minute episodes.  Without a doubt, Season 3 starts with the stupidest premise in the history of TV, exponentially stupider than the Evil Twin:  the bad guy (gal, actually) has cosmetic surgery to look like the good gal, and kidnaps the good gal so she can carry out the evil master plan.  The surgery is so good even her own sister falls for it (yeah, right).  And whaddya know, after just a couple of attempts, she manages to nail down the kidnapped good gal's voice (again, yeah right).

OK, once you get past the preposterous premise, it isn't bad.  Typical scheming villains trying to carry out their dastardly plot while the heroes save the world, or at least the ocean liner.  The first 2 seasons of High Seas were a lot better, but the 3rd was entertaining enough.  The show gets docked a star for having a super-handsome lead with a great body but never takes even his shirt off.  Come on this is Netflix, not the Royal Shakespeare Company.  Whatever pretense you come up with for getting the guy's clothes off will be nothing compared to the cosmetic-surgery silliness.

Valeria is supposedly a Spanish version of Sex and the City (just what I read, can't say since I've never seen SATC), with Valeria instead of Carrie and Madrid instead of NYC.  Since expectations have a big impact on how much you end up liking something, I'm glad I read some IMDB reviews of the series beforehand.  Yeesh, as user reviews warned, the protagonist is insufferably self-absorbed at times and insufferably angst-ridden all the time.  That's the big annoyance.  Minor ones as well: Valeria and her friends are always broke yet manage to live in big, beautiful apartments in Central Madrid, dress fabulously in new, smart outfits every episode, and go out for drinks, sushi, etc. every night.  I had no idea being poor was so easy.

That's the bad.  The good is that all the other characters are terrific:  interesting, funny, likable, and lovable.  The male protagonist is played by the impossibly beautiful Maxi Iglesias, whose green eyes alone make the series worth watching.  As a bonus, he took his clothes off almost as much as he did playing a male stripper in Toy Boy.  The acting is all-around top-notch, much better than you'd expect from a fluffy series.  And they shoot Madrid in a way that makes you want to move there forever.

So far, 2 seasons of 8 40-minute episodes are available on Netflix.  Valeria is definitely worth a binge.  I'm looking forward to the 3rd and final season.

We've been on a Montana binge.....watched all of "Yellowstone" and I'm hooked.  Love the characters.  It's definitely an adult show.  They make Tony Soprano look like a boy scout.

We also watched the prequel, "1883," which is really good, as well.  I know they're married in real life and I don't know if that helps, but Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have really good chemistry on-screen.

Also finished up the last episodes of "Big Sky."  Season 1 was great, but Season 2 has way too many characters and tangential story lines.  It was still good, but I'm hoping they recapture the focus they had in Season 1.

We started "Mayor of Kingstown," which is by the same creator of Yellowstone and 1883, but not feeling it.  Yellowstone and 1883 had us from the start.  This one just isn't holding our attention.

Just started "Old Man" on Hulu with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. Watched the two episodes currently available and enjoying the interaction between Bridges and Lithgow, who play two old-school CIA operatives.  Bridges has been "off the grid" for years but they've recently discovered him, so he and his two Rottweilers are on the run.

I really rate Hacks on Amazon. (It’s loosely based on the life on Joan Rivers).

It has Season 2 now. I just watched Episode 3 which features a new character played by Laurie Metcalfe; her acting is great and her lines made me laugh out loud several times.

I think you mean HBO.

Hated it, btw.
