I didn't like the idea of having clips installed inside me. I thought, what if they move or dislodge? Probably an irrational scenario, but it influenced my decision. Greenlight (a type of TURP) surgery felt like more of a permanent solution. It's a tough decision for anyone with BPH. Urologists recommend different treatments. I'm hoping that I made the right decision for myself. One and done. No meds.

I had greenlight (laser) surgery. I was on silodosin before but didn't like it. So I went for the surgery after declining urolift (recommended by the urologist.) It was an outpatient procedure. I was sent home with a cath that I took out the next night. Recovery was manageable but lengthy (around 3 months.) I pee like a 17 year old now, but did end up with a dry orgasm (80% chance of that side effect.) Don't mind it though. No ed problems and no mess. Win win.

I’ve been binging Life on Mars. It’s a British detective show from 2006-2007. A detective inspector is in a coma and time travels back to 1973. It’s really interesting to see how different life was just 52 years ago. Good acting and John Simm is really cute.

In my twenties I was delusional thinking that I would find a mate and only have sex with him forever. I don’t think any couple is having sex together after 10 year's, and if they say they are; they’re probably lying. I do think that emotional monogamy is very possible.

English was the toughest class for me in high school. I loved reading literature, but writing my ideas out coherently was a challenge. When I went to college, I had to take a remedial English class first. Charlie, you’re a great writer. I love reading your messages!

I think Rendell and Street were both good mayors. Rendell revitalized center city and Street tried to revitalize the poorer neighborhoods. I’m hoping that mayor Parker will be better than either of those gentlemen. I agree that all cities have problems, but I only lived in Philly and its burbs, and am now living much farther away.

After 18 years in center city, I moved away in 2022. I never heard of Cherelle Parker, but I wish her well. Hopefully she can bring some good changes to this very sad city.
