Yeah I tend to agree...when I first started hiring around this time last year, virtually everyone was $200-$250 in Denver. Now there are several that are charging $300. And I've seen a couple raise their prices to that amount. Sometimes they are worth it but often they are not. Oh well..maybe if there is a recession as seems likely, prices will go down again. Just all depends on what people are willing to pay.

Getting to business class round trip equivalents!

I don't know what airline you're flying, but J-class on most legacy carriers is a lot more than that ;)

Even in second tier markets, I’m increasingly seeing 300 as the rate, even 400!!

What's most curious is these rates being charged by guys with little-to-no reviews and a weak marketing game. As I've always said, the market will dictate if they keep their rates high... If people pay, it'll stay. If not, watch those hourly rates tumble down.

You're too sensitive... When someone quotes me a rate that I feel is too high just say how much you're willing to go with. He'll either agree or not. Sometimes they'll take the lower offer but be prepared for a no reply back also. Don't make anyone a 'must have. I will tip generously if it's a great session.

At least you guys are getting actual quotes, which can be accepted or declined. My problem has not been unrealistic pricing. I can usually spot those guys and avoid wasting time. More common in recent years have been the guys who refuse to provide a number or reply "what are you offering?" It's one of the reasons I hit the pause button on the hobby.

So instead of hiring once or twice a month you start hiring once or twice a year. Works for me. Nah, who am I kidding... no way I would hire anyone at 300+ an hour.

I guess someone is hiring them.. but sure not me or anyone I know.

Yes, I was recently quoted $450 an hour too.. seems the disappearing rates on rentmen have left some escorts guessing what they should charge.

i agree! i like to have a guarantees amount and then say if you exceed expectations i am very generous. that way they work for commission.

It's simply what the market will bear. Rates, like other rents, go by how much money the community has to spend. Like competing to rent in Manhattan., apartment or guy.

Rates have skyrocketed in Europe also.

Prague a couple years ago was $100-120. Now it's $160-200. Of course Czechs can't afford that so it's all tourists coming to sample famous Czech porn "stars" (everyone and their uncle).

Czechs go to Zurich to work because of more clients but the rate there is $150 (or $100 for a date in the sauna).

Surprisingly Germany is always the cheapest in Europe and now is 70E to 100E ($100 to 130). Germany has many hustler bars still and a long tradition of "bahnhofjungen", guys making extra money at the train station men's room. Mostly all online now but renting is in their genes.

FWIW:

Medellin, Columbia for full service at Club Tobi is $18 and dates go about that. Bogota is twice as much.

and even at $300 renting is still usually less expensive than buying, ie: maintainingor keeping one.

In his defense, when I objected to 350 he quickly quoted me 300 for the hour. But I feel bad about that. What if I accepted 300? It gets the 'meeting' off to an awkward start. Or am I just too sensitive?

1. You're too sensitive. 350 vs 300 is no big deal. Union scale is 300 for 9's and most will do 250. 350 is porn star prima donas.

2. Your problem will come in if the guy's really good and you want to repeat. Then it will be 350 vs 300 every single time.

It never gets cheaper.

Recently, I made an appt with my idea of the perfect escort; at least in terms of looks/body. He quoted $350 which I was more than willing to pay. However, a couple of hours prior to the appt, he texted to say that he’d need an Uber and that I would need to arrange/pay. I would have gladly paid $400 but no way in hell was I arranging transportation for his business. I canceled.
