I've tried Doublelist over the last several months, but my ads keep getting deleted. Heavy censorship. Curious what verbiage all of you are using to go fishing. I'm not looking for deals or to underpay quality guys. The thing I miss about Craigslist are finding the guys flying under the radar or are newbies. I found a lot of diamonds in the rough on CL. I miss that site...

I wonder what escorts think of bargain hunters and reverse auction kind of clients?

I have a lot of respect for sex workers. I'm a firm believer things should be legal as it would help provide protection for client and provider a like. I cringe a bit when I hear people talk about trying to bargain with providers. I see it as an insult to them. It's like telling someone they or their time is not worth it. Just my 2 pence

Exactly!

Please quote all the guys on this thread who bragged about all the good deals they get?

Do you cringe making an offer to a real estate agent? A parts purveyor? Are you involved in a small business?

It’s not cringe worthy, it’s not disrespectful, it’s not telling them they’re worth less. It’s business.

Do you bargain at a restaurant too?

What about buying a TV, can you bargain or just you seat and wait for the sales?

This thread has become a race to the bottom a reversed auction with guys bragging about how little they pay...

Please go back and read the posts again. You are not correct when you wrote

Have you checked Mintboys? The owner is quite open about his interest on hunting those guys to advertise in his site.

In Chicago, the rates for a "regular" guy are in the $250 - $300 range with the better guys pushing the $300 most of time. The "porn stars" are usually in the $300 - $350 range but the higher profile guys probably could charge some $400 sessions and get away with it. I don't see any ads in Chicago for less than $250 anymore unless it is an erotic massage with upsells. Rates do peak slightly during the special events such as the Grabbys and Market Days but I'm not sure how much they spike because I don't typically hire during those events.

Am I not correct? It's my opinion, just like you have yours, right.

I believe "This thread has become a race to the bottom a reversed auction with guys bragging about how little they pay..." check the posts, please don't shoot me. ;)

"It's not nice" to make judgements telling people how to behave specially after I thought we were on the same page after you post this previous thread.

Please quote me as much as you want but don't try to edit my posts, it's all screwed up.

I don't think you are too sensitive.

If an escort asks for a certain price and you tell the escort it is too much, any cheaper meeting with the escort will most likely be negatively affected by the fact that he wanted more than you were willing to pay.

Some will say it does not matter about negotiating for a lower price but I disagree.

I think the lower price equates to a form of rejection of the escort.

I never negotiate. If the price is initially too high, even though the escort later offers to "bargain" with a lower rate, I never accept because the encounter is not likely to be as good as had I agreed to the original higher price.

Self righteous, judgmental people always abound. They are so in need to look down at others that they cannot even read. I mean, read and understand what actually was written. Do not waste your time, friend. Just ignore them.

Without any additional context, I would interpert someone negotiating with me for a lower rate to be telling me they think I am worth less than I charge and I would find it disrespectful. I won't take that personally, but I certainly wouldn't think of someone doing this sort of thing as a savvy businessman.

Checked out Friendboy and Mintboys in the Boston area and saw many of the same escorts who have profiles on RM.

When you contact them, tell you are responding to their ad in Mintboys or Friendboy. Often they have different pricing. Actually, I am making an assumption here. I do know from personal experience that when a professional advertises in A4A and in RM, I get lower quotes if I say I am responding the A4A ad. I am assuming that it may be the same in MB and FB cases.

Not getting personal to you, by any means. I'm sure you're busy. But what about a guy who asks 300 but immediately will take 250 (but not 200) instead of being idle that hour. My escort friends do this routinely.

By the way...I don’t want anyone here to think my posts might indicate I don’t respect these providers. Nothing could be further from the truth.

There is a growing frustration caused by many factors...that rates are very difficult to pin down, and increasing in many markets.

No one...but no one respects these pros more than I do.

Exactly. That is what happened to me with ayfun in NY. I think of it as prime time pricing vs off-peak pricing. As the hotel industry has learned. No disrespect intended.

Damn all you cheap and disrespectful low class peeps... I bet you shop on Priceline or similar websites before booking that hotel room instead of paying hotel website rack rates... or price flights on google flights instead of just booking that airfare on United too . Pond scum I say!

Who benefits when everyone prices themselves at $350 an hour and many of those guys are just waiting for those clients that never do call? I highly doubt its the escort without clients!

I find the comparisons in this thread to shopping for commodity goods and services appalling.
