I made arrangements to travel to a city 3-4 hours away for the dual purpose of a friend’s event and to incorporate some clients into my schedule. So as usual, I reach out ahead of time to previous clients  to let them know I’m coming and to see if we can arrange a visit. The 4-5 people I anticipated mostly said yes BUT, there was some maybes. Which I guess meant no, because of all, only 1 person showed up. And thankfully he did because it was a longer $,$$$ visit.

But what I dislike the most is someone ghosting off and not responding at all, once I arrive to town. Especially if it’s someone I met before. And about 3 of them did that. Some may say I should “bet on” only 1 or 2 to show up, which can often be the case. 1 was able to let me know he couldn’t show. The others, I texted/emailed twice and no reply.

Its a big part of why there has to be an understanding, taking trips to meet clients without a deposit comes with risk. I did it, but I was able to curb some of the risk by having enough free hotel nights in case everybody fell thru, along with a secondary purpose. But it would have been a complete bust if I hadn’t had the 1 come thru.

And even though the trip was only 4 hours away, it still ended up being 3 nights of hotels: the first night being the initial commute (which I sometimes have to do in order to get to town early enough to see people and not worry about delays but, that’s also extra money). 2nd night was event and booking, 3rd night was more rest and recovery. But 3 nights and only 1 client showing up, is part of the reason $250/300 isn’t as appealing as it used to. Even with free nights and friends discounts, I still spent $200 on lodging. If I had only one $250/$300 session: I would have essentially broke even with no profit.

I know it’s just “how it is”, but that’s why I spend more time advertising in cities than actually staying there. Unless I have a place to stay, sponsored by a friend or client, I don’t like taking the risk. And staying with people is getting old too. That’s why I strategize with hotels, so I don’t have to rely on people for a place to stay when I visit a city. Gay folks can be the worse when it comes to needing to post “remotely” from their place. Most won’t allow to host, and small things can be a bother: I might as well just get a hotel room and at least have the potential to earn something. But that comes with the caveat of making sure there’s enough people following thru and showing up.

In this instance, I can only sympathize with you if you had these 5 guys politely ask you when you'll be back in town so they can see you again, only to then go radio silent once you're actually there.

You've been doing this for years, and dissect every minutia of how others act when it comes to your time. A great many guys are seeing you in confidence, and getting a text could create for them an unexpected uncomfortable moment depending on what they're doing. Seeing you should be at their convenience, and not hearing back if you initiated it doesn't make them bad people or flakes.

Since you're on here, take note of the very few men who do what you do who share what wisdom they have. They very well may have the same exact frustrations that you have at times, BUT DO NOT DWELL ON THE NEGATIVE SO MUCH. They love what they do, travel from time to time, and really just enjoy the moments with men who leave with a smile, hoping a return visit happens, but not panicking if they don't repeat.

I would like to think since you've done this for so long, teaming up with another provider and sharing travel costs would be a big help to resolve so much of your never-ending travel frustrations. I've seen several men who were sharing a room with another masseur when on the road.

Yeah this definitely is a good thing to do.

I've seen guys who travel together, or know other providers in every big city, and they split an AirBnB and host that way. They split the costs, can all host in separate bed rooms of the house (at the same time even), have an actual kitchen to cook food in. And it makes it easy for them to advertise/offer each other to clients for group sessions. AirBnB i think is often simultaneously more expensive and inconvenient than a hotel these days for an individual non-provider. However, for this specific use case. I could see it being a compelling option for providers.

So here’s the thing: it’s not about dwelling on the negative. However it would be nice to know that instead of leaving someone hanging, that they at-least have the courtesy to reply back. Especially when I say I’ve arrived to the very area they asked about me coming to.

Also in one of the cases, the client reached out to me to ask about scheduling: whereas the others were people who have asked me to reach out when I come to the their area.

I say so because when I tell some of them I’m not yet in the area and/or will be traveling to the area: there’s an urgency to get me there. So when I’m there, I want to see that same energy.

Also, traveling with a provider may work in some cases however: there’s real truth is it is not often as easy as it seems. Those other guys often have their own schedule and clients to tend to. They’re not really as accommodating to other escort’s schedules as you may be lead to believe. I also was in the mentioned city due to something that was scheduled with a friend who’s not an escort. Trying to fit another escort into that schedule, and having them in my hotel rooms, having them see clients during my off time: it doesn’t really make sense.

Don’t just go by the peachy/creamy stuff that sounds good. Try to understand what it’s really like behind the scenes.

Bad communication sucks, but asking some people to pay more because you don't have enough confirmed business sounds like a losing business model. Just not sustainable.  You need to establish a fair market price and let repeat business and word of mouth do the rest.

That’s not me asking them to pay more. That’s simply saying: I rather do 1 longer booking with someone RELIABLE, then to try to play a numbers game and fit in 4-5-6 clients at a time. Not only is that usually unrealistic due to people’s schedules, but if I’m to maintain full sexual energy, I rather reserve that for 1 or 2 clients. Not a conveyor belt of guys.

And believe it or not, most of my clients are okay with that. The ones out there trying to get by with ONLY shorter sessions even when it’s a longer commute: usually be trying to get over on me.

I just had a client “scam me” earlier this week. I seen it coming, but I was just happy to finally get a client in shitty ass Kansas City that I hate working in so much…because the clients suck and there’s always 100 escorts trying to advertise to these cheap ass, flaky ass clients out here: dude shorted me $100 from our agreed upon rate! Not to mention the parking at his hotel was $28. I had to explain the situation to the “customer service” who runs the facility, that I wasn’t even staying at the hotel: I was there to visit someone who agreed to pay for my parking because many garages are app/QR codes now.

Like I said above, that stuff generally does not work in the real world. Y’all think it’s just easy peasy to team up with another escort: keep in mind at the end of the day we’re technically trying to reach the same viewers.

Even when it’s not another escort directly in competition, I had a situation earlier this year where a guy I traveled to St. Louis with: had guys coming and going in the hotel last minute. I personally do not care to be a spectator or backseat to another dude’s sexual liaisons. Especially one who I don’t know well or who’s a close friend.

Now: the only time I will occasionally travel with friends, is if it’s just for hanging out only, with no emphasis on hooking up. In fact the group I do sometimes travel with, we all have a no hooking up agreement. Just keeps down on drama etc. I mostly only travel with clients or people I’m actively dating/involved with.

**And don’t think the escorts you do see traveling together, aren’t in some kind of situation or commitment together **

I would rather pay for hotel rooms at a reduced profit, than to share a hotel room with someone where I have to leave for a certain time while they fuck, with possibly my personal belongings in the room too. My “friend” did that on our last trip: 1 hour turned into 3 hours. While I waited in the lobby. This is after I drove 6 hours the night prior, then drove us again from downtown to a sketchy hotel by the airport the next day. All while being tired and unsexed.

Needless to say, we aren’t friends anymore. But that taught me to not travel with anyone else who I’m not fucking directly.

Ever thought you are at the bottom of their list and they go with you only when all their other options are unavailable? Just think of the possibility you are not competitive in today's market.

Some cities I visit, hardly have any advertising competition. I don’t necessarily make up reasons as it could be anything from lack of funds, to discretion, or them browsing on freebie apps.

But it’s uncommon that I’d be on the bottom of someone’s “list”. What place would you be on someone’s list? Are you all that and a bag of chips yourself to be making those claims? I mean if you’re going to make a statement like that, don’t think I don't have anything to back it up 😂

I never said it was easy. I said it's an option. And one others working in the same field with the same struggles or annoyances can and are making work. It requires creating a system based on analysis of your network and what cities you're working in as you likely know.

Have you considered all this attitude you have is part of your struggles? Genuinely.

And regarding this:

"**And don’t think the escorts you do see traveling together, aren’t in some kind of situation or commitment together ** "

Yeah... It's called team work. The ones i was referring to are a group of 10 or so escorts who all live and travel around to different cities who are friends and know they can work with each other and they made a plan and executed it. They keep in touch, group up when they're in the same city, split an AirBnB (not hotel) and they execute the plan.

The experience you had with that one guy you described sucks, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to do unless it's someone you're dating. You just have to try again and find people you can trust and work well with.

There’s no “attitude” just to clear that up first.

I’m just simply saying, not everyone has the inclination to team up with other providers. That’s not having an attitude, that’s just making an understanding. Have you ever tried to work with other escorts and/or clients and seen how it works? If so let me know. Otherwise, despite what some might say or think here: I know other escorts who feel the same:

a little harsh but a lighter opinion:

IMG_7719.thumb.jpeg.90ef5b44654a83586929f377fdc8c861.jpeg

This is not throwing your advice under the bus, BUT: I wasn’t asking about how to team up with other escorts and split hotel/air bnb costs. You introduced an entirely different subject that didn’t have anything to do with the topic at hand. My post was talking about why certain clients ghost off when saying “yes sure” when I say I’ll be in town and if they are up for connecting. Only to then change it up and not respond or give an appropriate response upon arrival.

That being said, I have over the years reached out and fostered some escort friendships here and there: but my go to people to stay with, are typically outside of the industry. I’ve even had group/3s with other providers and kept in contact, but non of which have turned into some master plan of sharing hotel/air bnb costs. I’m more inclined to work with my clients on covering those expenses, versus riding someone’s coattail and expecting it to work out in the way I want it to.

Huh? Your post was partially a complaint about the expense required to travel when clients may flake. Now room sharing might not work out for you, but to say this reasonable suggestion had nothing to do with the topic at hand is ridiculous.

It sounds like you just want to vent and not hear any possible solutions. And that's fine, but you're dealing with men here,  not women. Women generally want an ear and sympathy,  while men hear problems and want to solve them.

“No deposits ever” or “never pay upfront” are some of them.

So clients with common sense who have been burned and are trying to help others are trashy. Got it.

Funny, but we think providers who insist on a deposit when they aren't traveling out of their area are the suspect, trashy ones. Its all about perspective.

Keep in mind the context of that post. I also added that’s not necessarily my views or opinion but, people have to realize when they come on here shit talking escorts, that’s going to make it look trashy.  Posts like, “No deposits ever” or “never pay upfront” are some of them.

That person was not saying clients are trash, they were saying some of the ways that clients talk down towards providers is trashy. And that part is true, based on what I’ve seen some people say here.

"No deposits ever" and "never pay upfront" is sound and wise advice that every client and potential client should follow. Here's why:
Unless you are the only provider in the area (a 50-mile radius?) or someone really special, clients and potential clients have to use some type of criteria to narrow the field of providers down to one. During that process, if a provider informs you that an upfront deposit is required, that provider should be eliminated. It's really simple.
We as clients and potential ones should help each other look out for our best interests so we can make wise choices, and this forum provides us with a place where we can share helpful information and advice.
A provider demanding a deposit upfront should be a big red flag. And stating the truth is not talking trash or talking s__t as you claim. It is just common sense. And Bozo will continue to advocate for fellow clients.
The fact that this doesn't comport with your business model is just too bad, Deal with it. And all of your excuses trying to justify a deposit upfront will continue to fall on deaf ears.

That’s because you’re a clueless gent. It’s in your name. Why should I expect more 😂

And just for the record I’m going to say something: not solely to you but everybody ESPECIALLY the bozo MoFo: When someone comes defensively over a topic like this, it says “guilty” and makes it look like some of y'all do these type of things, which wouldn’t surprise me. And it’s okay but some of yall need to stop co-signing on that behavior.

And then you have some posters, coming on here trying to shame and embarrass someone for simply sharing a viewpoint: not understanding how BAD that makes #1 them look, and #2 the forum look and #3 gay clients in general look. Stop the nonsense.

Because some think it’s cute and funny, but people are watching. And #1 it’s putting off escorts from participating, #2 it’s giving actual clients a skewed view of how someone should should go about hiring and #3 it’s not helping for the greater good of the industry, to be so critical of someone’s way of doing business.

And to be 100% real about it, I have receipts 🧾 that show what other escorts are saying about some of you “vocal dissers”:

IMG_7721.thumb.jpeg.79d32124196bb93bae4a34a7ecf04f75.jpeg

Now the above isn’t necessarily my opinions or viewpoint as I know there’s some great clients here who don’t post . But still, coming on here to rake someone over coals after they’ve already experienced trauma/drama, is a bad look. (And yes part of staying with folks can be traumatic. One of my friends I stayed with, came home with 2 assault rifles and a Glock 19. Claiming it came with a drum, and it’s his “favorite gun”. 1 of many reasons sometimes I rather just “bite the bullet” and get my own hotel BUT….BUT…BUT…

CLIENTS HAVE TO SHOW UP AND KEEP THEIR WORD SO I CAN ACTUALLY AFFORD TO MAINTAIN THE COSTS TO TRAVEL AND GET A HOTEL.

And my trip to Nashville prior to this one I spoke of in the OP, it was one client after the next playing games on my phone, not following thru etc. I had 2 clients and $800, for a 2 week trip. Not inherently bad, but there were at least 3-4 others who reached out and neglected to follow thru. Understand why it makes me feel passionately upset.

Again, I didn't bother to read your verbose reply. But I looked at your site. I was astonished to see you have a paywall for customers to chat and to see your photos. No wonder you have no customers. Friendly advice: remove the paywall and make it as easy and frictionless for potential customers to reach you. Be realistic, accept you are not attractive enough to be an of creator or an escort in any metropolis. Stick to what you can do, low tier escorting in god-forsaken places.
