Average "discount" for longer sessions?

Makes perfect sense to me, both the offer and the acceptance.  Really, the 300 first hour/ 500 two hours structure is 100 'setup fee' for freshening up and preparing generally on the provider's own time, then 200 for each hour of the client's actual presence.

Sometimes, with a new provider where I've booked an hour, I've asked around the halfway mark whether we can go over the hour on the basis of (in the above example) any excess being paid proportionately to 200/hour, so we can relax into the session without clock-watching, just letting it take its course.  Generally, there's been agreement,, and I always then settle immediately before leaving and I round up in the provider's favour - rather than pulling out a calculator;-) - as a thank-you for the flexibility (tipping isn't a thing in London).

I ask the provider for their 1-, 2-, and 3- hour rates. Sometimes (usually) their 2- and 3-hour rates are less than a one-hour rate times two or three. A couple of guys became snippy with me, including one who asked if I could do math. Needless to say, I didn't hire them.
