There’s no Groundhog Day -grade commentary on auto forums and the themes there don’t intersect libido and cash. All that’s being opined is that at a certain point any discussion of objective price and subjective worth is superfluous and gratuitous when it would necessitate a shaking off of criticism and devaluation whether or not the object of criticism were to be exposed to same. Moreover, a savvy advertiser is cognizant of the reality that such critique arises from a dismissible irrelevant few. It’s client yield that influences price. The topic may be unstoppable but tired and boring enough to align the brakes. ~ Herb Since we're not talking about Michael Boston, perhaps a different unrelated question. As long as I am not physically harming anyone. Netflix keeps raising prices and I don't agree with it and the prices of eggs keep going up, I don't agree with it either. I’m certainly not dissing our constitutional rights, nor anyone’s right to pay $1000. I’ve paid it myself! My point is as a group we do sometimes “pile on” in a negative manner, kind of a herd mentality, it does bother me. Luv2play, mike carey, CADreamer and 4 others 4 1 1 1

buckguy Posted June 9 Posted June 9 It is a wasted thread. I mean, no one has any 1st or even second hand knowledge of Michael Boston. With one exception, no one has expressed a willingness to spend $1K and the thread was started by someone who no longer hires. Not even a decent amount of humor. maninsoma Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I can understand the frustration with threads that are started just to malign an escort that isn't about his actual performance, but if no one takes the bait then the thread dies quickly. Unfortunately, I don't think piling on the piling on actually accomplishes anything, particularly when some of the posters who criticize behavior in threads like this engage in similar negativity in other threads. I think it does speak to a certain element of human behavior -- it's very easy to get drawn into a pile on. Archangel 1
TokyoNewbie Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) Though I am not rich enough to hire with that price, I think it is not a bad price for a well known porn actor. For example, if Michael Bolton would sing a song, and the price is 1000 dollars (probably 3 mins?), probably it would be regarded as “reasonable”, or? Sex demands much more dedication…. I beg to disagree. And as I started the thread, I'm sure that gives me standing to rebut I've been around here a long time. And while I'm not exactly an angel, long time members would for the most part agree that I rarely start trouble. It wasn't so much a comment on Mr. Boston personally whom I had never heard of before I came across his ad ( I don't watch a lot of porn.). It was more a comment on the idea of $1000/ hour. I can't really imagine anyone I'd be willing to pay that for even back when I was working and a semi-productive member of society. Edited June 10 by Gar1eth Yukon21, Medin and Luv2play 2 1
borgerback Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I'll take the bait . . . I did once. A pretty insanely hot 6'6" former college football player who was interested in dipping his toe into bondage. It was very pleasant but NOT worth the work saving up for it turned out to be. He's long gone, but I won't hit that hourly again. + Gar1eth 1

Perhaps that's true, but "1000 an hour" is the guy's 4th line in his ad. We don't see that very often, so it's easy to suspect it's there to grab attention. So who is the bait master here? IMO, he poses like an Instagram girl placing ads for her OF account. I can only guess how many guys there are who want to drop their "load" in this guy's butt at $1000 an hour. If the marketing works for him, then there it is. I doubt anything said here is really going to matter. Edited June 10 by d.anders Luv2play 1

+ sniper Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) My brother worked as a waiter. He had an epiphany that the effort involved was much the same whether he worked at Denny's or at a high end hotel restaurant, but one gig paid a hell of a lot more than the other. Some escorts have had this epiphany. And while average joes are somewhat poorer than 25 years ago, there are also more people than there used to be in the "dropping $1000 doesn't faze me" category than in the past. It's not surprising that some choose to operate in that segment of the market. Edited June 10 by sniper mike carey, BSR, Walt and 1 other 4

bytemysyntax Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I've paid that much for a random WeHo twink who was barely starting out on OF (and it turned out to be a nightmare of an experience). I've also paid a slightly higher rate for a Helix Studios model. I'd definitely be interested, but I'm a total bottom. I do love rimming a big bubble ass, but I would want actual fucking for that amount. If he would be open to top me, I'd be so down.
+ purplekow Posted July 8 Posted July 8 $1000 is not much when you have m(B)illions but it is a hell of a lot when you do not. There are some people who would pay him $1000 an hour to show up at a pool party or gallery opening. Granted that is a limited market but the old saying is true: Easiest ways to may a million dollars is selling a million things for a dollar or one thing for a million dollars. He is clearly going for the one big sale. Archangel and BuzzLiteQueer 2
