It is a wasted thread. I mean, no one has any 1st or even second hand knowledge of Michael Boston. With one exception, no one has expressed a willingness to spend $1K and the thread was started by someone who no longer hires.  Not even a decent amount of humor.

I can understand the frustration with threads that are started just to malign an escort that isn't about his actual performance, but if no one takes the bait then the thread dies quickly.  Unfortunately, I don't think piling on the piling on actually accomplishes anything, particularly when some of the posters who criticize behavior in threads like this engage in similar negativity in other threads.  I think it does speak to a certain element of human behavior -- it's very easy to get drawn into a pile on.

For example, if Michael Bolton would sing a song, and the price is 1000 dollars (probably 3 mins?), probably it would be regarded as “reasonable”, or? Sex demands much more dedication….

I beg to disagree. And as I started the thread, I'm sure that gives me standing to rebut  I've been around here a long time. And while I'm not exactly an angel, long time members would  for the most part agree that I rarely start trouble. 
 

It wasn't so much a comment on Mr. Boston personally whom I had never heard of before I came across his ad ( I don't watch a lot of porn.). It was  more a comment  on the idea of $1000/ hour. I can't really imagine anyone I'd be willing to pay that for even back when I was working and a semi-productive member of society.

Perhaps that's true, but "1000 an hour" is the guy's 4th line in his ad. We don't see that very often, so it's easy to suspect it's there to grab attention. So who is the bait master here? IMO, he poses like an Instagram girl placing ads for her OF account. I can only guess how many guys there are who want to drop their "load" in this guy's butt at $1000 an hour. If the marketing works for him, then there it is. I doubt anything said here is really going to matter.

Maybe a debate on rates in general would be more insightful than you sharing what your idea of value is? 

Is the market perfect (in that buyers and sellers are able to accurately value their services?). Has one party got more power? That kind of discourse is interesting. ‘I can’t afford x’ is less so.

My brother worked as a waiter. He had an epiphany that the effort involved was much the same whether he worked at Denny's or at a high end hotel restaurant, but one gig paid a hell of a lot more than the other. Some escorts have had this epiphany. And while average joes are somewhat poorer than 25 years ago, there are also more people than there used to be in the "dropping $1000 doesn't faze me" category than in the past. It's not surprising that some choose to operate in that segment of the market.

Sure, I get that, but that's also your prerogative on value.

What inevitably happens here on the board is equating looks with worth.  That's where the dogpile happens.  It quickly becomes personal from people who likely don't even have the means to make it a reality.

$1000 is not much when you have  m(B)illions but it is a hell of a lot when you do not.  There are some people who would pay him $1000 an hour to show up at a pool party or gallery opening.  Granted that is a limited market but the old saying is true:  Easiest ways to may a million dollars is selling a million things for a dollar or one thing for a million dollars.  He is clearly going for the one big sale.
