Did anyone ever actually meet him? I gotta say, sometimes a tiny part of me wonders if it was all an extended creative writing exercise.

Yup. I have kids and the only thing I share is I have kids and I had them through scientific means. He shared so much and they are adults. I can't imagine if real-they discover that so much of their adult lives were shared on an escort website. I was cringing at the privacy implications for the kids,  though the posts were great and gripping.

FingFang Foom was great-I used to just lurk then. bigvalboy, Rick Monroe, it is  a nice place. Just hope in our lifetimes, escorting becomes legal.

But yes

I'm not sure if he was mentioned already-- couldn't wade through the thread.  But an old forum member and friend was NCM 2169...gone for over 12 years now RIP.

Kipp

He had a few mentions earlier on in the posting,  Hard to believe it was 12 years go.

A few people have said this. He seemed pretty convincing to me.

Is this in reference to Oklahoma the man with the video collection and the travel planning skills to have 7 escorts come in from 7 different cities and meet and come simulaneously?

I remember the time one of the escorts was turned off by being on-camera and didn’t show up.

Exactly!   I still don’t completely understand why he was run out!

I believe it was because Avalon started many threads that were interesting to him but few others

In my post above I neglected to mention @leigh.bess.toad!   However, fortunately others have subsequently mentioned him.  Yes! He of the Wagnerian forum moniker!

Interestingly, we never pulled off meeting.  However, during his years as a vocal student at a local university he also had a job as a waiter in a restaurant that I frequented during the exact same time frame.  The place was noted for their singing waiters who would harmonize a mean version of “Happy Birthday”.   The venue became known as THE place to celebrate a birthday.  We both liked to think that our paths might have crossed during one of those happy birthday moments.

As others mentioned he was quite proactive in promoting forum gatherings in the DC area.

His posts were foppish, but funny.

Don’t miss her but QuotetheRaven has gone radar silent.

I fear she couldn’t handle contrary views…but alas, I think she still lurks every now and then.

Haha I was coming back to post @freecahill1965; we txt regularly and have lunch every few months.   He is still playing 😘

Did he say why he quit the forum? He was one of my favorite posters and I learned a lot from him. At the time he dropped off the face of the earth I heard he was very sick. Just curious.
