I find they are happy to share a friendly greeting, but yes, they stay on task, zooming around to keep things in order and ready.

That is a great way of putting it. But there is one guy who I have seen over a few years and we always talk to each other. It may be because I'm usually by myself so he breaks up the day for me. I am always tempted to ask him to put some sun tan lotion on my back because I just can't reach it but then I think, "tremendously inappropriate." Don't need any kind of lawsuit.

According to the Boutique Air web site the one way fare from Los Angeles International to Palm Springs is currently listed at $130.60. It just might be more cost and time effective to fly directly to Palm Springs or if that isn't possible then fly to Ontario, rent a car and drive. The drive from Ontario to Palm Springs shouldn't take more than an hour.

The guys that work there are all sweethearts, IMO.

Maybe it is the time I happen to check in (have taken the same flight the passed years) I have had contact the Steve interviewed a lot. He is really a friendly guy who makes life very comfortable for you. I am glad the owners went out of their way to make their employees able to stay. That was a great thing to do.

Southwest Airlines has added PSP to its service, effective later this year.

I hope that Southwest adds a non-stop flight from Chicago. American, which was the airline I used to use, dropped its non-stop (or seem to). United (of which I am not a fan) does have one but it is almost twice what I paid on American. A flight with a stop-over is about what I paid non-stop on American. So, it would be great if Southwest added something.

Non-stop is so much easier. Friends flew in to PS from Des Moines, through Denver and the connection had problems, so they lost an entire day of their visit.

I've just booked my room at Canyon Club for that weekend! I hope to be invited to the dinner/pool party everyone talks about. I would welcome any suggestions about going about seeking a companion for the event(s). While I have hired hourly before, I've never hired for social events or for an overnight or entire weekend.

Certainly hiring someone for the weekend is a great plan, but remember there will be many escorts attending and you may want to go Ala carte rather than prix fixe.

Booked my room at the Inndulge. They required a four night minimum stay so I'll be checked in from Thursday April 8th and check out Monday on April 12th, but I got a great deal for the package so I felt it's worth it.

Plus, considering the Motel 6 in downtown is charging $300 a night, I felt this was a better alternative. Hope to see you guys next year! :)

Reading all the plans and bookings people have made is great, and I hope I will be able to be there. At the moment, though, I don't know if I'll be able to leave the country, and even if I can, whether I'd be happy to travel to the US. God, I hope I can.

I am hoping that there will be "quick tests" available so everyone will be able to test themselves in the morning. Unfortunately that means that everyone would have to somehow swear that they would not have contact with others who have not tested themselves that day. It gets confusing but for me it is worth a vacation.

I've been doing some 'advance reconnaissance' this week staying at INNdulge. The owners took the opportunity to make a few minor updates and the place looks fresh: new concrete around the pool, more cabanas, rooms and exterior painted. And as always, the staff is friendly. All that is missing is the breakfast conversations with y'all.

I will be 80 the 24th of next month. I plan to attend the Palm Springs Weekend whether there is an effective vaccine or not (frankly I do not believe there will be). I will certainly wear a mask in crowded public places. If restaurants are open and social distancing is practiced, I will use them. I went out for breakfast this morning and for the first time in weeks I actually wore a collared shirt, slacks and a pair of loafers. I have become weary of wearing flip flops, shorts, and tee shirts day in and day out. Damn it felt good. I went to a wedding a number of weeks ago and I was uncomfortable with the lack of social distancing and the non-use of masks. When I returned home I self-quarantined for two weeks. These are about the limits of what I am willing to do to comply with covid19 protective measures. Each of us must decide for ourselves what chances and what protections we take. I condemn no one for the choices they make, nor do I expect them to condemn me. Frankly if I die in my sleep tonight, I have had one hell of a great life and I refuse to stop living it simply because of covid19
