For the future, you may want to download the "Burner" app. It creates a second anonymous phone number that you can use for calls and texting from your existing phone. If your Burner number is compromised, you can delete it and get a new one. I use it in all my initial outreach to providers. I'm not sure what type of threats or extortion you're referring to (or if you mean it figuratively), but if it's the threat of exposure regarding sexual activity I would encourage you (or anyone in similar circumstances) to refer your extortionist to a case in 2003 in which the head basketball coach at Louisville, Rick Pitino, after a brief ("15 seconds" - which made Pitino the butt of numerous jokes), consensual sexual encounter with a woman at a local restaurant. This female extortionist was convicted of blackmail and spent SEVEN YEARS in a federal prison - and two years probation afterwards. I would remind any wannabe extortionist that most cases are easy to convict (save ALL communications!) and often carry lengthy prison time. And, you are correct that extortionists never go away - Rick gave this woman money for six years before he finally went to the authorities. An extortionist who has been paid cannot be trusted to hold up his end of the bargain - they'll just keep coming back. NEVER, EVER PAY A BLACKMAILER or EXTORTIONIST A NICKEL !!!6 points -

Biggest controversy of my lifetime...new Cracker Barrel logo
Simon Suraci and 3 others reacted to pubic_assistance for a topic
I agree. Furr's was great. I also agree, if you're from Middle America and never travel anywhere to try real cuisine, Cracker Barrel probably seems perfectly good to your palate. I also grew up in Middle America so I am well familiar with the "mashed potato and meatloaf" restaurants. Cracker Barrel used to be decent, (by middle America standards). But even within that context..the quality has suffered over the last 10 years. Focusing on "modernizing" was a truly stupid move when your whole marketing program is based on nostalgia. They SHOULD have, instead - worked on improving service, quality and offering budget options to the many middle America families who are falling behind in trying to keep up with a collapsed US dollar economy.4 points -

It would be better if the protesters focused their efforts on creating a lasting memorial for the victims rather than engaging in street theater by repeatedly chalking the crosswalk, which is soon washed away by rain or gets painted over by the transportation department.4 points -

The members of this website are going to lose it when they eventually discover that I don't live in Las Vegas and I'm not a Millennial... It's all a disguise to throw people off from my true age and location! (I'm really based on the East Coast as copy editor for MSNBC News) Thanks @Ali Gator for the image in my head all day:4 points -
Wow- away from here most of the day and this explodes! 1. Please stop fighting with each other - I'm posting here for some advice, not to start a war among members. 2. No, I'm not 'very friendly' with his parents by any stretch of the imagination, nor with any of my neighbors, for that matter (my big city neighborhood has had a lot of turn-over in the past few years or so as real estate prices continue to skyrocket. It's not uncommon for someone to buy a house here, and turn around and sell it within a year and make a hefty profit on it. It's gotten ridiculous). If we happen to cross paths outside (getting into our cars in the morning to leave for work, for example) there's a friendly exchange of 'Good Morning'. If I'm walking my dog outside and they happen to be outside, there's a friendly exchange of 'Hello' and occasionally we will stretch it out to 'how's everything going this summer?' or I will ask about their sons. As I said earlier, both sons have always been very nice and polite, and I am interested in how they're doing away from home in Florida. The other neighbors I have no contact with at all - they make no attempt to socialize with anyone, always staring at their phones when outside. 3. I'm not in a 'small town' nor a very social neighborhood (as explained above). From what I gather, no one is here to set roots, everyone seems to be buying here to make a quick and profitable ROI and move on. Everyone around here seems to concentrate in their own world, they're not looking into anyone else's life. A gunshot could go off twenty feet away from them, and they wouldn't bother to turn away from their phone to look. It's the world we live in, I guess. So no - no one would be paying attention to him coming over to my house, and if they did, they certainly wouldn't care if he was painting my bathroom or having fun with me. As for his parents, I would try to arrange something when he knew they weren't at home. I work remotely some days during the week, so its possible to arrange something. 4. Most importantly -if I wanted to share his RM ad and let everyone know who he is, I would've done that in the OP. However, I'm not stupid - I'm not going to link to his RM ad here after sharing so much background info and personal info on him and myself. Why would I take a chance on a public forum with people I don't know? So I can run the risk of one or more of you contacting him and let him know his neighbor posted all about him, his private life and possibly link him to this thread? I'd have to be insane to share that. Also, I used a faux name on him, and knowing a bunch of you would try scoping him out on your own, and I went one extra step and put in 'Boston' instead of the real city he's listing in. I'm glad I did because some of you didn't disappoint - you went ahead and tried to find him, as expected. Sorry, not taking any risks on this one. If you 'don't believe' or 'skeptical' of the situation without proof of the ad, so be it. I'm fine with that (and really don't care). I'm not fine with running the risk which could hurt or embarrass me in the end. 5. Finally, I did text him early this afternoon about picking a day to detail my car, but I haven't heard anything back as of yet. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow afternoon, I will try once more. If still nothing, I will wait to see if he gets back to me. @LookingAround a special 'thank you' to you for keeping tabs on my online activity.4 points

*Will no one rid me of this turbulent provider?
JPHL and 2 others reacted to Austin Lewis for a topic
My extortionist is in rare form today. I am so grateful for the encouragement I've received from this forum, from the one provider (who's now a friend in an uncoventional sort of way) who has supported me, and local law enforcement. If anyone is receiving threats, let me say the thing that is obvious when you're calm, but not at all obvious when you're being threatened: do not, under any circumstances, give in to the threats. It is not easy to say no to the first one, but it gets harder and harder the more times you've said yes. They'll keep coming back until you stop, so it's best just never to get started.3 points -

Many men have the same problem with their wife after she becomes the mother of their children. The RESPECT factor becomes the overwhelming dynamic and you can't believe you're telling "mom" to suck my cock. 😵 THIS is one reason why married men like the company of a sex service provider.3 points -

The biggest surprise for me in all this has been how chill law enforcement has been. The deputy who took my statement was completely unfazed and very compassionate. The detective assigned to the case did check with a state's attorney to make sure she could pursue a case that arose from illegal activity (prostitution), but she got the go-ahead and took the case very seriously.3 points -

Who the heck is this? Supposedly the new logo represents the barrel. To me it only vaguely looks like a barrel, and that's if I use my imagination to the utmost. If they wanted to update something, they ought to get more comfortable chairs. But maybe that's a marketing decision-having subtly uncomfortable chairs that get more uncomfortable the longer you stay. But as for the food, I'm going to have to disagree with a lot of y'all. And actually some of y'all's comments make me see some tinges of red. I'm not excusing their previous gay bashing. But y'all must have grown up a lot differently than I did. My parents both worked. My Dad didn't cook although he would grill. My family routinely went to Furr's Cafeteria growing up when my Mom needed a night off from cooking. It had great food. They had great chicken fried steak. I'm sorry the original Furr's (and not the buffet place it was in its last incarnation-although I didn't mind that either) is gone. As for Cracker Barrel, it's a family style place. We would have gone to it when I was a child, but there weren't any around where I grew up. So it's not a 4 or 5 star Michelin restaurant. It's a perfectly fine place. Their biscuits and cornbread are excellent. And they are one of the only places that really have them. I used to like their beef stew a lot, but unfortunately they took that off the menu years ago. Their fried chicken is not bad too. So it doesn't fit what maybe easterners or west coasters are used to. I know I'm not the only one from middle America or the Southern regions who enjoys going there whether they are on the MC or not.3 points

Am I the only client who sees this hobby as a tertier needs. In a way that I only partake when I have extra fun funds enough to afford a provider who I fancied. When purse is tight or price is too high, I simply go look for free fun or look for other provider within my budget. Same when I budget for vacation. When Four Seasons or first class seat are out of my budget, I go for cheaper option. As someone who works in service, customer who ask for a discount but expect high quality service in return is an ick. People gotta eat and make a living.3 points

I don't see an ad that matches what was described, either. Quite honestly I didn't read the entirety of the original post because it read more to me like erotic fiction than reality. I'm open to being wrong about that, but the lack of an ad that matches what was described does raise my skepticism even higher. For the record, I don't think it's necessarily "internalized homophobia" that would cause some people to think it would be best not to pursue a man under these circumstances. I wouldn't do it, and not because I'm ashamed of being gay. It just sounds socially awkward.3 points -

Pulse Memorial's rainbow crosswalk removed overnight in Fla
Bokomaru and 2 others reacted to + ApexNomad for a topic
Two things can be true. The questions about the foundation and its stewardship are fair ones, and accountability is important. At the same time, the rainbow crosswalk had been in place for eight years as a visible marker of remembrance. Whatever the status of the foundation, removing that without a replacement in place creates a real void. Both issues deserve scrutiny, but one doesn’t erase the other.3 points -

Bokomaru and 2 others reacted to + ApexNomad for a topic
The rainbow crosswalk was installed in 2017 with state and city support as part of the Pulse memorial. Now, under a new federal/state directive, it’s been painted over with no replacement in place. For now, the only visible public marker of remembrance at that site is gone. That is erasure in effect, whatever the stated rationale.3 points -

It's a slippery slope. I work with traffic engineering for a local government. Once we start allowing non-standard crosswalks of color(s), we get requests for crosswalks with religious symbols, with colors of sports teams, with colors of flags of other countries, etc. Therefore, we've had to say no to everybody, including GBL+, and focus on what traffic signs and markings are for: uniform communication for safety.3 points
