I call him a big slut in his first language. When you feel this mutually secure, this grounded, you know you have a solid relationship. That’s priceless. First impressions are another story. There’s something to be said for professionalism on the provider side, and common courtesy on the client side, but even then, I am not judging the client. I am only focused on doing a good job. The truly ugly clients to me are ugly on the inside.

Have you been to Paris? I’m British, being rude is an art form. You probably wouldn’t recognise it unless you’ve been immersed in the culture. We can be rude with the slightest gesture, an intonation or just one apparently innocuous word. It’s even better when the recipient of said rudeness is oblivious to it because it means we’ve been so deliciously subtle that only a fellow Brit (or someone who has lived here and learned the culture) would notice it. I can totally relate as I share the same sentiments. The self-consciousness emerges from time to time. I've gotten several of those "Hi". Have responded to some, and one ended up in a booking, the others were out of my area, but I had a nice conversation where I ended stating that I might consider them if I travel to where they are of if they come to my city. BaronArtz, I think you may have misread the situation. As I read what has been posted here, @charmasianman is not in the US on a student visa, he's there by right as a US citizen, but he sees some of his situation as being the same as being an international student because of the time he's spent in his other country of citizenship.
