Bed vs. Table

It seems most people prefer a table massage, so once again I'm in the minority

For me, the bed massage is more intimate. Also easier to move to other things if that's your plan. I have a regular 'straight' massage for the standard stuff, and she's great.

And I've found some providers are just as good, and will do more body contact in a bed. I also find it awkward to move from table to bed.  Am I alone here?

One recent provider did the massage portion on the table and then we went into the bedroom. I see your point, @Mark_fl, but that walk from the table to the bed was filled with such anticipation it was an awesome part of the experience. Glad I didn't miss that part.

I definitely prefer the massage portion to be done on a table. The play part can happen on the table, on the bed, or both. Transitioning between the two doesn’t bother me at all.

For the best massage…I do prefer a table. It gives both better access for the masseur to bear down and give the right pressure/angles as well as being much kinder for their back/posture. 
 

If things get especially sensual and cross into the bedroom… there’s nothing quite like the view from behind being led to the bed by the ass that’s about to get some attention. 😈

Massage on the bed isn’t really a massage, it’s a kind of body rub - s which is fine if that’s what you want but it couldn’t be called a massage. It’s very difficult to do proper massage on a bed. On a futon it’s slightly better in that you can apply pressure correctly and do some moves that are even better when done on the floor (futon) such as Thai Yoga massage moves. Some clients prefer the floor because there’s more opportunity for body contact and intimacy (I think the table offers the same opportunity but the perception of clients is different). 

Sex can happen on the table and some great positions are possible. I think in many ways it’s easier on the table than in bed but again it’s the client’s perception that sex is a bed activity. They clearly haven’t been bent over a massage table….

I'm with you. I really don't like the table much if i intend for the massage to progress to HE and other activity.

I find massage tables to be too hard, and the material the table tops are made of either leave my skin dry/itchy or make me get hot/sweaty. They're also usually small and i feel like I'm going to fall off of them if i move the wrong way. And like you said, getting up from the table to go to the bed is highly awkward to me. And doing the extra activities on the table also just feels precarious and dangerous depending on what positions and such are being done, which makes it very not fun to me.

A bed with the right soft/firm ratio and even just decent sheets/cover fixes all of that but doesn't impact the effectiveness of the massage pretty much at all, for me personally. Massage on a bed, to me, only doesn't work if the bed is far too soft and cloud like. Beds that are cushiony but still have some firmness/support are perfectly viable for massage to me. So i greatly prefer that.

I hire masseurs for massage. Even when I hire escorts who do massage, the table is integral to the results I'm after.

Got to be a table. The bed just isn't conducive to a good massage and I rarely find it comfortable during that part. 

I've had massages where when things develop we've moved to the bed but I've always found it pretty easy to have fun on the table.

20+ years of massaging and I gotta tell you doing a massage in bed is murder on the masseurs body, even at a young age.  Table is so much better for the masseurs health, long term.  Just typing this now at my standup desk is making my lower back spasm.   I have no idea how Thai masseurs and foot masseurs can stay in the business more than 10 years without being absolute physical wrecks.

Why limit oneself to only 2 options: table or bed?  In my experience, massage on a table makes it easier to transition to a rim chair, sling, chaise lounge, and/or staircase mid-play without having to get up from a soft bed.

I think it's less about the other destination for play and more about the location to location transition in general.

I dislike the bed mostly because it's ultimately uncomfortable for my head and neck. But I've absolutely had some hot experiences with a bed massage, so I can't complain too much. But my preference is, as others have stated above, massage on the table, extras on the bed.

I prefer a table. Some traveling masseurs bring a headrest usually used with a table and insert it between the mattress and box springs. That works well when a massage is on the bed. A good compromise when a table is not feasible.

I have a table and bed in the room where I offer incall appointments. I typically start using the table for some or sometimes all of the session with a client, though some  guys prefer to go right to the bed.    
 

When on the road traveling without a massage table, I have a great face cradle that can anchor under most mattresses.     I have used this at hotels and client homes.    With a firm mattress most guys find that the face cradle really helps to make  the bed more like a massage table experience.
