Again, the issue is moreso the cumulative effect of answering DOZENS of messages of the same questions that could easily be answered in a simply auto reply… Which if you then follow such directions: you could likely get to a point where other questions can be answered. But if you just immediately write someone off because they aren’t willing to stop, pull over on the highway 🛣️ while they may be driving for 8-9 hours to the next city, or STOP 🛑 in the middle of a client and answer your RentMen IM message (that many probably won’t respond to after the “moment” passes anyway): then yes that makes you dismissive and high maintenance. Everyone has a way of working that works for them. Having an attitude that a provider is “jaded” just because they want to make responding to inquiries easier is a bit assumptive. + BOZO T CLOWN 1

That’s what you do, but it’s evident that many contacting on the app are not booking in advance nor giving a day to respond. You’re taking it personally and trying to defend yourself when I’m not even coming at you nor the clients. I’m just talking about the preferred mode of communication. And if you are contacting someone who has a preferred method of communication that does not include back and forth chat on messenger, what’s fair is that people abide by that.

But I feel there’s more advertising than there’s guys supporting. And of course, the variable rates and who’s willing to do more than $150/$200 is also a factor. Like I said in previous post: if there’s so much to pick from that individual escorts aren’t seeing more than 1 client a day: $200 ain’t going to cut it to cover hotel and/or travel to a city. So the price may be $400-$500-$600 per booking just to see a return. More the merrier is a myth. Less is more in some aspects. And in a country (USA) that has gone backwards, doesn’t allow escort ads freely on all “sex positive” platforms (which is a damn disguise), and continues to suppress freedom of sex worker speech; having more providers is the worse case scenario. Because who’s buying and buying at a reasonable price at this point? Inflation and higher prices is a mofo for everyone. Providers raise, partly because every thing costs them more, just line anyone else. But , just at the wrong time, a lot of providers are also raising rates just because. Clients have less disposable income and so aren't spending. Inflation sucks for everyone. Additional inflation could work in providers' favor. In the late 70s - early 80s, inflation was bad enough that people were resorting to spending their money quickly, before it lost value. That could be a good thing for providers. josh282282 1

So no, that’s not what I’m communicating. I’m simply saying, I can’t make big plans specifically traveling to other cities: based solely on instant message emails. Even if I’m just sitting at home doing nothing or “available now”, spending time back and forth on instant messages isn’t an efficient way of booking a visit. Also it’s like which came first, the cock 🐓 or the egg 🥚 ? In this case it’s: who came first, the fake/flaky client or the jaded escort? Idk about you but, it’s not hard to find how flaky general gay sex seeking can be: hookup apps are filled with looky loos who aren’t serious about meeting. Or maybe they are serious but, the competitor/anon nature of online cruising opens the door to just overall time-wasting and goose chase, made easy. I may have told this story before, years ago: but it’s an example that even now is still a reason why I need more than just an email to take bookings seriously: Years ago back when Men4Rent/Rentboy was around, I took a trip to a city (Indianapolis). I had an inbox full of emails, from people claiming to want to meet when I got to town. Can’t remember how many actual texts I received, but I don’t think it would have been enough nowadays to go. I drove out, thinking I would be fully booked. I was already somewhat taking a leap, going with only enough for gas and hotel for a couple days. Well, I got there. Met 1 client for $150 at the time (this was 2010 so that’s probably to equal to $200 now but still, wasn’t enough). NON of the other “inquiries” ended up following thru. I ended up stranded for 2 days, before I could get help out. That above situation has reared its head from time to time in other cities, but that was the first and worst time I experienced how; email inquiries are not a good measure of anticipating bookings. I recently turned down a 4 day friend’s trip to Pensacola and New Orleans a couple weeks ago. I wanted to join, but business has been slow so, I have to plan things sensibly. I was getting RentMen messages, but only a couple texts that wouldn’t have coordinated with the time frame I had to work with. I wasn’t about to drive 7 hours from where I was, without some REAL confirmed inquiries. Nowadays if I don’t have text/phone CONFIRMED bookings with deposit, I won’t go. Inquiries asking if I’m in town/when I’m coming to town/love to see me when I’m in town DON’T COUNT. And no I’m not “taking risks” because as I explained above, risks can cause one to lose money or end up stranded if going on a limited budget expecting payment upon arrival, only to be stood up by a bunch of phonies. But we should believe you instead? "90% of them have roommates." Really? Bozo knows a bunch of OnlyFans content creators. Some are escorts, some are strippers, some are both, and some are neither. Only one of them has a roommate. And that is because he chooses to live in Hudson Yards, paying over $6,000 per month for rent. Would you care to share analytical data to support your claim that 90% have roommates? "Onlyfans only pay off if you are in the top 1%." It depends what you mean by "pay off". It's true that very, very few enjoy the lifestyle of OnlyFans megastars like Reno Gold, who drives fancy cars, takes expensive vacations, and has a real estate empire generating income that would make most of his competition blush with jealousy. However, there are plenty of Only Fans content creators who are not in the top 1%, in fact no where near that, whose OnlyFans and JustForFans income allows them to live very comfortably. If you have the "right look", do collabs with other hot guys, price yourself competitively, and are creative in your content, you can do quite well, without being near the top 1%. BTC 🤡

It’s just an ad. It’s not a live location on my iPhone. I can move my ad between California and Minnesota all day long. It’s for exposure. It’s to gather interest, in order to prepare and be able to plan ahead. No, clients don't need to understand how RM advertising works. Thats not their expertise and its unreasonable to expect that. All professionals, whether they are plumbers, lawyers, bankers or anything else, have to do business development. It sucks that BD is unpaid, because sometimes it can be more time consuming than actual engagements, and not every BD effort will turn into a paid engagement, but that is true across the board. maninsoma Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I assume escorting is like lots of other businesses in many respects, but there is one major difference. No one cares if their plumber is 30 years old or 60 years old, but plenty of men hiring escorts would choose a 30 year old but never hire a 60 year old, regardless of how they look. I'm only raising this point because I assume that working as an escort is especially difficult as a long-term career. I'm assuming (but don't have any data to back this assumption up) that the men who remain successful escorts for decades have long-term/repeat clients as well as a generally positive reputation that draws at least some newcomers to them. I'd also like to point out that like many other businesses, sometimes you can be highly in demand and then your business dwindles. I've seen so many restaurants decline in popularity over the years, ultimately leading to their closure. Not every successful business remains open long-term. I know some guys still advertise on Rentmen after being in the business for 25+ years, but I have no idea what their income is now versus 25 years ago.
