Sorry I had to cram the end of the title to fit in all the words, but is the size of the gratuity or the pleasantness you had with the person more of a priority when you're willing to see someone a second time?

You can have a client that's borderline repulsive, but he is an amazing tipper, while you can have a gentleman who is so good you can't believe that they feel the need to hire anyone since they look and feel so great, but don't tip worth a damn. Curious if the priority varies from provider to provider.

Some people tip... some don't. There is no definitive answer... right or wrong. I would wager most people don't though.

Fair enough.  In a twist, I’ve had some who quoted less than I’m accustomed to paying.  In those cases, I paid the customary rate if they exceeded my expectation.  That’s a form of tip

But, in general, I think tipping culture is getting whacky right now.

if I have a client who has clearly not showered before hand and I’m gagging from the smell of his balls I won’t see them again.

A little (or a lot) off-subject here, but let me comment on this. Sexuality works in very mysterious ways. If I were to hire you, @Gilfson, I would be freshly showered and squeaky clean, but I would insist that you NOT shower even after a heavy workout because the musky-pungent smell of sweaty balls and ass drives me crazy horny. Like they say, diff’rent strokes….

Sorry for the interruption, back to our regular program now 😊

Fair! In fact I get that request a lot. Just not my cup of tea haha

My only thing is hygiene… if I have a client who has clearly not showered before hand and I’m gagging from the smell of his balls I won’t see them again. Looks and stuff don’t matter but hygiene definitely does to me.

Same, if the escort has an odor or something... i always suggest that we shower together as part of foreplay and to wipe off the street grime.  If they are reticent or continue with poor hygience, it's really a no go for me.

Most don’t tip. I agree with @GentJ, repeat clients are the best. As for hygiene, I agree with @Gilfson looks is irrelevant but hygiene is essential. Some clients ask me to be as if I’ve come from the gym, that’s different: a fresh sweaty musk is one thing, stale body odour or (and this I have experienced) fragments of tissue between his cheeks ‘down there’ 😱is quite something else. I’m not rimming that.

I have done this as well- I wouldn’t think of tipping a provider for his time, but there was one situation where I could tell the provider quoted me a lower rate than his usual because of the activities I proposed.  At the end of the session, I asked him what his usual rate was and I paid him that.

As an addendum to what I wrote earlier, I personally don't usually tip. However, if someone is going out of their way to come see me, I'll give them extra for travel expenses. One guy, I have recently hired a few times, has to drive more than hour to see me. So I give him a bit extra for the effort.

very common. Not the standard 20%, but tipping is very common and appreciated.

I had a friend ( who has since passed ) who was addicted to drugs as a teenager. He would often let men perform oral sex on him for drug money.

My friend is straight and not physically attracted to men at all. (Plenty of gay friends and very much NOT closeted).
I asked him once what he would think about when a random man was sucking his cock....Did he think about naked women ? He answered: NO. I was thinking about the MONEY.

Well, I’m sure they are appreciated, but tipping is not intended for the free agents.  It’s intended for person who has to share part of the price “with the house.”    If someone knocks my socks off but had a low price, then I’d probably give them more (as I noted above).   But if someone charges an above market price, then I’m going to have already high expectations.

I stayed at a Hampton Inn a few weeks ago.  I used automated checkin, I arrived late and never say a human, I left in the morning. STILL, there was a placard on the desk with a QR code soliciting tips??

the question you posed was 'is it a common practice?' my answer is it is more common than not, but its not normally the 20% you would tip in other service industries. nothing relating to whether it is right/wrong/fair.

With your hotel - I am assuming the QR code is meant for the people cleaning your room, which you would never see them do or have interaction with, but I don't work in a hotel so I have no idea.

First, I acknowledge your point about the framing of the question. 😉

And, you’re absolutely right about the cleaner. But, I pay for a clean room. Imagine the Yelp Review if the room wasn’t clean!  Again, that’s what I paid for and that’s what they are paid to do. Right?

I'm not a provider but I would think you'd rather see a client who didn't tip that you had a good time with versus a client who you didn't enjoy being with that gave a tip. Unless it was a pretty substantial tip. 😅

I am a provider and I am telling you straight up -  we prefer the tip.
