+ Italiano Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 I know that Politics are not allowed here and if this topic has to be erased I apologize for having opened it. No names, no Parties. But I just want to share that it is a VERY important day for the USA. We are extremely divided, and voting for maintaining this Country a Democracy is absolutely vital. GO OUT AND VOTE! (And hopefully the majority of people will vote for whom I am voting for...) + jeezopete, marylander1940, + m_writer and 4 others 3 2 2

+ ApexNomad Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Just to add, several legislatures, including those in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, and South Dakota, have placed measures on the ballot aimed at safeguarding LGBTQ+ rights, covering everything from marriage equality to anti-discrimination protections. If issues like these matter to you, please take the time to research these measures on your own in your state. marylander1940, + Charlie, musclestuduws and 1 other 1 3
seattlebottom Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 I voted early last week in NV. While I understand the anxiety people are having, I also have faith in the young people voting this year who have grown up reading books, watching movies and playing video games about what a dystopian future means and to avoid it at all costs. marylander1940 1

GO OUT AND VOTE! (And hopefully the majority of people will vote for whom I am voting for...) Yes, voting is vital to our Republic. I voted early in Nevada, and I dropped off mail ballots for a few of my housemates this morning. I am hoping things turn out Great again; but, I am not anxious. It's out of my control now, so I won't waste time thinking about it. Edited November 5, 2024 by Vegas_Millennial Capitalization + augustus and + Italiano 1 1
+ jeezopete Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 I dropped off my mail-in ballot on Friday. Checked online & verified that it has been received and will be counted. 👍 + Vegas_Millennial 1
kingsley88 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Only thing I can control is the fact I voted. I survived 2000-2008 and 2016-2020 so whatever the outcome I'll be fine. If anything, I'm just glad I won't get these texts/emails asking for $$$ anymore. Both parties have fundraised so much money! + Pensant, + Charlie and marylander1940 3

I haven't seen or read of any cuts in disability payments.
mike carey Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Gentlemen, this topic was always going to be close to the line on politics, but was avoiding it by talking about feelings on the day. Talking about policies, the actions of players or perceived players in how the day went, or what effect it will have on you clearly cross the line into content that we don't allow. Please go back to the sort of general discussion that we began with. + Pensant and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1
