Well, it turns out there is a lawyer at my firm who hooks on the side. Not gonna lie, he's attractive AF and want to hire him, but understand it's completely inappropriate. Maybe pay for videos and sexy pics? lol What should I do? Thanks! I don't really understand what other option you have here: You should forget you saw anything and block his working profile. Don't ever bring it up if you see him at the firm. It's not your call to ruin someone's career. MaxMuscle9x6, MaybeMaybeNot, 56harrisond and 11 others 3 11

I also believe that literally nothing good can come of this for you. I'm sympathetic to the desire to cross a taboo. We've all found people at work hot, even arrogant jackasses. That said, I worked at a few gay orgs in my time and saw lots of fraternization - though I was with my husband at the time so never participated. Trust me when I tell you it never worked out well for the people involved. And this is before MeToo and the much greater sensitivity organizations have for this now. A founding partner of a firm here in NYC was just forced out for just being a bitch to everyone. So block his profile and forget you ever saw it or him. + sam.fitzpatrick Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 This is a workplace situation. As others have stated, most companies have HR policies addressing interpersonal relationships among employees which usually requires notifying supervisors and HR prior to beginning dating and obtaining consent that such a relationship would not create a conflict of interest. Whether hooking up because you met at bar or you reached out to a profile on an app, once you realized you both work at the same company, he's off limits unless you clear it according to your policy first. + Charlie, + BenjaminNicholas, + APPLE1 and 2 others 1 3 1
+ muscleboyinsd Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 If you have ever thought about finding a new firm -- to get a salary bump, or because something annoys you at work -- look for a new firm and get hired there. Colton Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 Does the lawyer show his face in his ad? How obvious is it him? Is this a BigLaw firm? The “Ex-Judge” referred to above was a solo lawyer and not really a judge. + Charlie, caramelsub and + APPLE1 2 1

maninsoma Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 3 hours ago, BenjaminNicholas said: The trolling vibe on this one is strong. I agree. Typically when I reply to a post that I think is disingenuous, I begin with something along the lines of, "Assuming you are serious..." What makes the OP highly questionable is that the poster wants to hire the lawyer at the firm, even though he apparently finds his personality off-putting while, at the same time, admitting that he really only "knows of" the guy but doesn't really know him.
Constantine Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Why would a lawyer need to make extra money as an escort? Even if he's not in biglaw he's not exactly living in poverty.
