It’s like “catching me on the spot” kind of thing. I prefer to screen by text first and then proceed. I used to only want to do phone calls, but then I’ve changed to only want to do texts lol. If someone wants to talk on phone, I prefer some notice. Likely because so many especially outside the paid world tend to do everything from start to finish by text. It's a big plus when they have a sexy voice like Hotbra. I think most don't do it because they think the clients aren't interested in that or that they just want to see their body or them fucking. I personally dislike it when they post the stand and model type videos with some loud music over it, it's just offputting. Hotbra has several of those, too. For me, I'm hiring a man for his body. He won't be required to talk much and, more importantly, I don't have to listen. As to why escorts don't record their voices, it's the odd paradox of displaying their naked bodies willingly in suggestive poses, but drawing the line at kissing or anything that might be perceived as too "personal" or unique to that man. I always ask for a brief telephone call first. One, it helps me know if I can understand them. I have a hearing deficiency that makes aural communication difficult at times. Accents, as sexy as they may be, can be tough. Two, it also helps me gauge if we’ll be able to initially hit it off as far as having a conversation. Of course, some people are really good at small talk, so this isn’t a fail safe. I’ve had telephone calls with clients that are great to have meetups sour or just become me and the provider in the room silently watching tv between bed sessions after a few hours, but on the whole, I find it helps a lot. Perhaps he was correct, but voices are important - at least to me. They (voices) are not the end all and be all of an encounter, but they most definitely can be an enhancement. I’ve seen a few providers with similar short vids introducing themselves, and I agree it is an effective marketing tool. As has been said, it could very well be an inducement to engage rather than continue to scroll. Providers, why don’t you lads record similar introductory vids with voice? My website has a demo video in which I speak (only a little) but it’s something that quite a few clients said they liked. I’d never considered it to be a thing but it’s a pleasant surprise that there are those who like my voice or my accent.
