I'm wondering how many more days where the price of oil goes up from the previous day? I wonder just how high it can go. I got gas this past Friday when my gas station was still at $2.98. It was at $3.08 on Saturday. This morning it was at $3.18 and then just now I saw it was at $3.28. The guy next to me on Friday brought 5 gas cans with him to fill up. I always say to I need to get some for myself, wish I would've had followed through on that.

How is it looking by everyone else?

In Albuquerque, it was $3.39 last night (Sunday), and that’s a 40 cent increase in the last week. I expect it to be higher this morning. IIRC, oil prices have shot past $100/barrel.

the agreement among Oil Execs is that the retail fuel prices remain elevated for one month per day of conflict, regardless.

Could you share the source for this claim?

A Dallas area Sam's was $3.16. I went to a nearby Murphy's where it was also $3.16. But being a Walmart+ member I got it for $3.06. I think last week I paid $2.81.

I shop at a local Von's supermarket, which also has a gas station attached to it, and you can use the points you get for shopping for food for a reduction in your gas price. On Sunday I saved 40 cents per gallon on the price of $4.69/gal. for regular gas.

If I said I could, I'd be wrong, but you know I'm right. 🥂

Actually, I don’t think that’s correct. It seems more like a confusion between a well-documented economic phenomenon known as “rockets and feathers” and a conspiracy theory about some hidden oil executive calendar. But to each their own.

Yeah the local grocery chain by me does points as well that gives you gas savings so once every month and a half I can cash in my points for usually 40 - 60 cents off a gallon.
