Did you ever have a favorite cashier?  I did, and always went to his line.

Yes, he was younger than I was.  And kind of cute.

Yes.  And as a rule, I always choose to wait in the line for a male cashier/clerk/teller/waiter/etc. if there is one available instead of using the services of the female.  I will never descriminate employment decisions based on sex, but I certainly exercise my preference when spending 💰.

When I was still drinking it was Mike at the liquor store. Muscled, but not a hard body, tattooed, bearded; rough, looked like he might actually harm me. He stretched his arms up one time to reveal “Ralph Lauren Polo” on the waistband of his black underwear. A voice I did not recognize as my own croaked, “Are those briefs or boxer briefs?” I do not know the shade of red I blushed, he just smiled knowingly, scanned my bottle of bourbon and got me on my way. He was always very kind to me after that. Bent over a few times to give me a better view of his round ass. I didn’t possess the dinero at the time to make an illicit proposition. Then I quit drinking. I miss him.

Most of the cashiers I deal with in my city are these nasty overweight black women that look as miserable as their ridiculous wigs.

So, no. I don't have a favorite cashier.

There was a really cute guy at my supermarket this past winter, and I always stepped into his line. I think he was mid-Eatsern, handsome with his dark looks and big brown eyes. He was always cordial and polite, about 45 (maybe 15 years younger than I). I always addressed him by name, and made light conversation with him. From the conversation, I learned he was single, and new to the area, trying to get accustomed to the neighborhood, etc. We always locked eyes and there was always a little flirtation between us. Finally, on my fifth or sixth visit (I usually went late on Sunday afternoons), I got the nerve to ask him out to dinner - and he said yes. However, in the mix of all the commotion (his line was never, ever busy when I would check out each week - except for this week), I was being rushed by the customers behind me and didn't get the chance to get his phone number (I think he felt uncomfortable, too, in front of all these people). So I told him we'd continue next week - he smiled, winked and said 'OK - next week'.

Never saw him in the market again. And that was in February.

I asked about him to a few other cashiers ("Does XXX still work here ?") and they shrug their shoulders with their tongues hanging out in response.

Went to Zeb Atlas's Las Vegas restaurant "Protein House" several years ago to check it out. Didn't expect him to be there, but I stepped up to the order counter and there was the big guy himself taking my order and ringing me up!

I hope ringing me up is a euphemism for something more exciting, very naughty, and that also involved some protein.
