DomKingNYC Posted February 16 Posted February 16 So this “client” gave me his address and when i knock on his door he goes…. did you get my number from a dating website because there has been someone that has been sending guys here so you’ve got pranked. Then before i leave he goes and don’t take pictures of my home. Then five minutes later he texts me “You wasted your time and money coming all the way here not me lol bye” Haven’t had someone sent me to a fake address in years and i don’t know what could i have done. I did ask for a deposit but he said he only has cash. I literally traveled 1 hour each way in this cold snowing weather people are terrible. He sent me his face photo and mr number has no reviews of him so i thought it would be fine to travel without a deposit. Someone who stops responding before you leave your place is one thing and common in this business but it's so evil to actually make someone travel all the way to you knowing you have intention to hire. I just felt a way because it hasn't happened to me in awhile and needed to vent. Sometimes I feel like Im a bit too nice haha but I will continue being optimistic. Oakman Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I’m curious if this is a solution: if you are traveling to them (and both on iPhone) ask them to turn on “location sharing” for the duration of your travel? BTW, what’s your Rentmen handle? DomKingNYC, + Pensant and Monarchy79 2 1

That he texted you after your appearance at that house, knowing you had already started your return trip, and that he was concerned about you photographing the house (that’s weird) would seem to indicate that the guy at the house was the “prankster.” DomKingNYC, Pd1_jap, BrooklynIrish and 1 other 4

It was rainy/snowing and dark so it was hard to read the house numbers lol I don't think there's anything I could have done or said to make him change his mind. Andysquestions Posted February 16 Posted February 16 That’s disappointing to hear. So many of us are resistant to leaving a deposit, and then reading this, it makes me want to leave a deposit to give my provider peace of mind. I hope you don’t get any more flakes. And I hope the jerk who pulled this on you doesn’t do it to anyone else. DomKingNYC 1

I should have not gone when he said he didn’t have cashapp or venmo to pay a 20 dollar deposit for my travel fee especially in this terrible weather today. I may lose business but i think im going to have to ask for a small deposit anytime i travel to someone now or at least if they live far unfortunately. I did leave a review there as soon as I left. I don’t want any other provider to waste almost 2 hours and 30 minutes in total traveling like i did. + Jamie21 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Something similar happened to me one time too. Worse thing was that it was a duo so I’d arranged for another escort for the client. We both turned up at the address (both after travelling an hour each) and suddenly the client goes quiet on text. I called him: no answer. So we hung around for a few minutes just in case and then left and had lunch together (the other guy was a good friend, and understanding fortunately!). 57 minutes ago, DomKingNYC said: i should have trusted my gut. That’s the thing. I had a gut feeling about the ‘client’ I mentioned above. The more experienced you are doing this work the better your gut instincts are. I was swayed by the money and the prospect of working with my friend (the client wanted to watch us for part of the session) but my instincts told me he’d likely be a flake. BonVivant Posted February 16 Posted February 16 This is why some providers require the client to send an uber. If you are serious, you will. Also a good location tracker. Something to consider as a policy? soloyo215, DomKingNYC and marylander1940 1 1 1

I've seen many people behaving like that in other ways. Just another petty loser. Really, how empty your life has to be to incur in that to feel something? He should be exposed, his name and info should be made available to other prospective targets of his petty nonsense. I do like the idea of having the client pay for the transportation to the place. Not only it will cost him, but his information will be documented. Sorry you had to deal with that bullshit.
+ DrownedBoy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I know ugly breeds ugly, but if a "prankster" doea something like this, he can't complain if he gets punched. Snapchat location - I've used it to verify Grindr hookups. However I figure many escorts would feel insulted or stalked if I used that with them. DomKingNYC 1
