What's the standard price in New York for two hours right now?

I mean for a regular escort (not a porn star nor anything like it). People will say those that are "hotter" will be more expensive. But the thing is that what is hot for me may not be for others. In other words, if someone is looking for a beefy not as lean mature men is because such type is what the hiring person considers a 10.

I don't think 300 or 350 should be the standard price here in NYC anymore. That's not a decent amount of money for someone who is in the business here. Hiring escorts should be a luxury in my honest opinion.

There will be a variety of opinions about what 'should be' the going price in any city, but 'should be' doesn't make it so. Escorts have the option of setting any price they want, and clients have the option of paying it or not. The going rate in a market is what it is, what someone thinks it should be won't change that. Is hiring an escort a luxury? Maybe, maybe not. Not all escort experiences feel like a luxury, and from reading these forums as long as I have, a luxury price tag is no guarantee of a luxury experience.  Businesses like to portray their products or services as luxurious but reality bites, and they have to offer a product that's truly outstanding or offer a service tailored to a price point they can achieve. Escorts are not exempt from that economic reality. As @BuffaloKyle said $300-400 seems to be where the NYC market has landed. You can wish it were otherwise (higher or lower) but don't hold your breath.

I'm not altogether sure that this thread will elicit any new insights that threads about prices haven't already offered, but we can hope.

300 is the standard.

In New York City? Ummm

That used to be the standard before the pandemic. It's been almost five years since 2019. Plus don't forget the inflation. I think 300 for an hour should be the standard for cities like Dallas, Atlanta,  Houston, Tampa, etc.

What about 2 hours?

We will alert the Bureau of Escort Affairs.

But seriously...the market determines the price. If the market will bear $300 - $400 per hour and it doesn't bear $400 - $500, escorts will charge $300 - $400. Escorts who try to charge more will quickly learn they can't get more.

As others have said above, my experience over the past year has been rates are between $300 - $400 per hour, trending towards $400 per hour. I almost always schedule for 2 hours, and so far I've only had 2 providers offer a multi-hour discount.

I'm seeing $300-$500 for the first hour, and the second hour is nearly always discounted. So $500-$900 for two hours.

That said, I disagree with the OP's sentiment that hiring is a "luxury." The Median household income in NYC is $77,000, which works out to roughly $42/hour. So, an escort is already making 6-8 times the hourly wage of the average person.

Now, if an escort averages two clients per day, even at the lower end of $300/hour, they'd be making over $150,000 a year—nearly double the median.

There’s confusion because at least in NYC, that’s the average rate for ONE hour.

And I’d imagine the median single person’s income in NYC is lower than that.  The vast majority of New Yorkers I know make less than that.

I have a regular boy that I see that charges $300/hr, but does $500 for 2 hours.

I think most are happy to do something like that.   I imagine because one 2 hour booking is preferable to two  1 hour bookings

Offering a discount for multiple hours makes sense for many providers.  They have a certain amount of time needed to get ready and clean up after any appointment along with travel if it's an outcall, and the overhead is about the same whether it's 1 hour or 3 hours.  They can earn effectively more per hour for one longer booking than multiple single hour bookings if the rate is structured right.

I am sure you posted on here previously about only just beginning to be a provider very recently so not quote sure why you are worried about 2019 prices.

If you believe you are worth more - charge more!

Even in second-tier cities, we’re seeing $300, which is fair. I don’t mind $400 for a real hottie.

Yup. The most common is 300/500 1/2 hours, and I go for 2 hours if they have the time. I'm glad I'm not in NYC.

Hiring someone from RentMen may be a luxury, but paying for sex hardly is, provided you're more resourceful and willing to take more risks.

EDIT: To clarify, when I see RM visiting from NYC/LA/SF to Chicago, they charge much higher prices (was recently quoted 400/700 for 1/2 hour ; I didn't even bother to respond). However, different cities have different costs of living, and it seems that when the hotter ones travel, they usually end up at an overnight/party/yacht trip with a rich guy. Many traveling escorts most definitely market themselves as a luxury good.

I'm sure they do see themselves as a luxury good. If they are traveling as a companion, they are also receiving a ton of free luxury goods and experiences. But I doubt many of the guys who live in Bushwick and do sex work to supplement their income as a dancer, artist, etc. see themselves that way. We often run into guys we hire at venues here in the city, and they're not living luxury lives.

I don’t know about “standard” but the lowest I’ve been quoted in NYC recently was $450 for two hours for two people, by someone well reviewed.

He started quoting that for one hour for himself only. A series of no’s from me (with bluster on how he knew his worth) then expanded the choices he laid including dropping hints that he was dining with his hot local friend … maybe he needed to cover expenses on the assumption something is better than nothing.

The lowest I’ve heard of recently for one hour is 200-250. Again by someone reviewed well on here and elsewhere so”legit” …

I’ve generally found providers far more flexible on pricing than discussion here suggests, and I rarely negotiate - it’s the provider throwing out terms.
