If anyone is interested, there's also a Farmer's Market in Palm Springs on Saturday (I discovered it last year):

CERTIFIEDFARMERSMARKETS.ORG

Fresh and locally grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, meat and more. All our farmers and vendors are certified so you can trust that the produce is organic and grown in an...

They had an awesome juice stand and a stand that sold pretty good tamales and a bakery stand too. Plus, fresh fruits and stuff we could get for later back at your hotel room.

I have sent an email this evening to each of you who has told me of your interest or that you will be attending, with detailed information on what to do next (check SPAM just to be sure). If you do not receive that message, please let me know immediately so that we can proceed.

@DavidNY and @White Daddy Top don't give up! Keep an eye on the Lounge and the next PS Forum Gathering Event will be announced sometime this year and once it does, you can start making reservations to InnDulge or Hacienda and join us in the event activities!  And though meeting providers is definitely fun, meeting the other forum members and developing new friendships is the highlight. :)

Next year’s gathering may or may not happen, as Oliver cast doubt on whether he is renting his place again. I see no reason we couldn’t have the dinner and breakfast as usual.

InnDulge is a great place for pool parties except that we couldn’t invite a large crowd outside of the hotel guests. Having a few people is no problem, but 30+ people that aren’t staying there crashing the party may be a problem.

I would like to discuss alternative plans for the pool parties with other interested regular gathering attendees. Maybe one or more of us can rent a place with a pool, but I fear it would be prohibitively expensive. Short term rental landlords are not fond of parties of any size, no matter how tame. Long term rentals for a month minimum stay in high season would cost a fortune.

I’ll have to give this some thought. Maybe the pool party/ies would take a different form or location. Maybe it does not have to be a pool thing or clothing optional thing, considering most of the party guests don’t even get in the pool or even get naked anyway. Considering the typical Friday and Sunday times are between lunch and dinner, maybe it doesn’t have to include food, to simplify things further.

I do not presume to speak for Oliver, who has worked very hard year after year for this event.   And at his age, getting very hard is not as easy as it used to be.  But, in my last conversation with him, he was definitely planning on returning to Palm Springs in a rental home and I would bet that his arm might be twistable.

I'm back in Ohio, it's Spring, and I have a new great-grandson!!!🎉😄😍

As the weather grows cooler, so begins the longing for the warm Palm Springs sun surrounded by beautiful Company of Men members.

I've booked a stay in Palm Springs for the April 9-13, 2026, weekend in hopeful anticipation that someone will continue the tradition and declare a meeting spot for a meal or pool, etc.

I'm grateful in advance for any volunteer who wants to be "host" to announce that a dinner or pool gathering is happening.  My swimsuit (birthday suit) is already packed!

There's a house on the market that would be perfect for hosting a gathering. It's a steal at only $11 million.

It appears to be the end of an era.  This saddens me but it is understandable that all good things come to an end.  I think we all need to thank Oliver for all his hard work.  I do raise the issue that if there were to be a weekend such as we have had in the past, how many people are willing to attend.  I have several ideas as to how this tradition could be continued.  Different but with the same feeling about it, but it would require quite a bit of work and time and if there is not sufficient interest, I would not even beging to look into how to do it.  I will start another thread asking for likely attendees.
