21st Annual Palm Springs Weekend

I would not count yourself just yet.  People end up not being able to attend for all sorts of reasons and thus have to cancel their resort/hotel rooms.  I am not sure when an absolute count for the restaurants, etc., has to be in but in some ways it probably is simply an add another chair.  You should be able to get that info closer to the event itself.  April is a wonderful month and the attendees love meeting new people or old attendees.  Like other meetings, you spend so little time in your room you can base it on that.  You end up drinking or laying out near other people's choices.

Provider here, based in Orange County. I'm definitely going to try to make it out for this! Sounds like a great time.

You might consider adding a link to your advertisement if you have one.  That may spark some interest in a more privat meeting during the time you are in PS, unless it is a non working trip.

Roger that! Not a bad idea at all.. Definitely would love to work while I'm there, if anyone is interested. Here's a link to my RM:

It’s incredible that you have this event, and that it’s so well attended; explains a lot about how this forum has held together for so long, and the closeness of the community. Very cool.

Bummer, @Robster and I just checked out Inndulge because we thought it would be fun to hang with everyone but the 5 night minimum is a deal breaker for us since we live here in Palm Springs. I guess we'll just have to hope our friends there will invite us over. 😜

Thanks / appreciation it.  For some reason I was positioned into this topic mid thread when I clicked on the topic.

Had to navigate backwards/ prev to see the top.

if you are planning on coming I would book hotel soon as there are a bunch of competing events most notably Coachella.  Most of us are staying at either Indulge or Canyon Club.   Even if you stay elsewhere, you will likely be able to come by the hotel in the AM or the Pm and join the old geeezers lying around the pool talking and drinking and getting hornier than we should looking at the young men.

Welp....I pulled out my travel bag; it's time to pack. Flying to Columbus Friday, and y'all know what that means.....the westward migration is drawing nigh! 😃

Looks like it's warmer up yonder this week than last. Thanks Oliver and SamFitz for turning on some heat prior to my arrival......😋

Safe travels and have fun on your journey West!

I'm actually a little nervous; I'll be picking up someone from LAX on Thursday, April 11th because it's the only airport that offered a direct flight from the East Cost.

So if I pick him up at 11:00 A.M, do you guys recommend we eat lunch along the way instead of eating lunch when we get to Palm Springs?

I was under the impression it would only take two hours to drive to PS from LAX, but after hearing about this, I'm debating maybe we should expect to not arrive until 3:00 P.M. that Thursday.

There is a direct flight from Chicago to PSP.  So if you are coming from there, try to get that flight.  Otherwise you will be going to somewhere like Los Angeles or Phoenix.

Alaska now has a daily non-stop between Palm Springs & JFK.

I would recommend getting at least halfway before stopping for lunch.  I left LAX early afternoon once and the drive to PS was 5 hours - no accidents, just LA traffic.

Do you mean Alaska Airlines?  Do I have to bring my own door?  😆

Well, the day I checked the timetable it's listed as a Max 9. And FWIW, $239 Saver, $289 Main Cabin, $2123 First (or 25K/125K AS miles + $6) one way, and it's an 11.45am JFK departure. It doesn't tempt me to change my flights!

Cudos, you did more than I could or would know how to do for info.  Flying into PSP is a nice flight.

I had to fly back east last year and flew in and out of Palm Springs for the first time and OMG, it is SO worth it!! The convenience is unreal plus the people working there are just so much nicer

Even if it means not going to PSP to begin with?

It would be a close call.
It was really bad.
Thankfully, it’s just as easy to fly out on Tuesday…which would be my advice.
