How do escorts feel about being called last minute because another escort canceled last minute or ghosted?    This question is not about being immediately available (because either you are or you aren't) but more so wondering the mindset of being called in as a replacement hire because someone else didn't show.  Do you care being second choice?  Should we even mention it to you if this was to happen?    

I'm only asking because I'm going to be in a hotel in a big city soon (with plenty of escorts) and I have a feeling that the one I booked isn't going to show up.   (just a vibe,  I can't explain it)

As much as I have hired...I haven't really come across this before believe it or not.

Maybe post this in the “ask an escort” section for more relevant answers. I have not been on the receiving end of attitude when I call last minute. If available, to your point, they have been surprisingly accomodating. That being said, I usually hire for massage, so there is little preparation time beyond taking a shower and personal hygiene.  If you are hiring an escort to bttm, that would be a bit different, I am sure!

I don’t think anyone would mind. As a masseur I don’t care if I’m hired because someone let you down last minute. If I’m available (and that’s the challenge…last minute bookings can rarely be accommodated because I’m usually busy) then I’m happy to accept.

If you think that must be a turn off, don't tell them they're the 2nd choice and they won't know it.

I guess my thought process is they would be questioning why I’m asking if they are available “right now”.    So telling them the reason would alleviate any annoyance on their part wondering why I didn’t book ahead.

Many people look for right now or as soon as possible. Many clients make plans for later and something always comes up...

 

Stop overthinking something as simple as reaching out to someone (hopefully by call because by text it would take half an hour or more to make plans) and asking him if he's available and how soon can he come over to you.

I know escorts who before PrEP would always walk around with a zip lock bag with condoms and a Viagra pill just in case.

There's no shame and there's nothing unusual about someone reaching out and to ask an escort if he is free now.

I guarantee you that even if you tell them most escorts won't t give a damn that they were your second choice.

Two words: ask politely.

Act somewhat apologetic and acknowledge that the provider may not be able to make it that soon.

You might need to text multiple people.

Look for ads saying the user is available 24\7. Avoid ads saying they prefer early scheduling.

And of course, flag the flake here on CoM.

Why do you need to explain why you're hiring them. Most, at least the ones I've met, could care less why you are hiring them "right now." Unless they say specifically they want to be booked in advance, they won't be annoyed. Again at least not the ones I've encountered.

The question seems more an issue you're having hiring someone last minute... not the potential escort. I think you're thinking too much into it.

Just ask are you available now. They'll say yes or no. That's all that's needed.

Let me say,  I view myself as a professional in all aspects of my life.   There really isn't a "second choice".    If you had booked someone else and they backed out and I was approached after  really isn't relevant.    A client is a client.     You may not have even seen my profile or didn't have the information.  It wouldn't be important to me in any way.     That's what you should always expect..... and actually,  no reason the escort booked after wasn't the initial booking.

I wouldn’t mention that he’s your second choice. Clients reach out to me last minute all the time with no explanation at all and I don’t know the difference. I don’t care if I’m a back up. I’m glad to have the business, and glad to get a chance to prove my worth and potentially gain more future business because of it.

I’m annoyed when you reach out last minute, because I want your business and the limitation on me getting that business is YOU (not giving sufficient notice), not me (in the middle of doing my job). However I recognize that other guys flake and that’s not on you.

If I am available, I accept. Win-win. If I am not, you might not get a prompt response because I have to finish with my current client before texting a reply. If I am in the middle of a 2-hr or longer appointment it could be a while! So give some grace in that case. It’s amazing how butt hurt some guys get when I don’t treat them as if I am on call 24/7 exclusively for them. I’m not on call for them and they know it, but these clients still treat me with the same level of unreasonable expectations.

It’s perfectly acceptable to request same day or last minute, but keep your expectations very low. Be kind, understanding, and courteous. We get constant requests for last minute bookings and we can’t even respond to them all that quickly because we are busy fulfilling requests that other clients made in advance.

I have a regular who lists himself as 24-7, and he's my "replacement escort." He's almost always available, and arrives quickly. The last time some dumb kid casually flaked on me, he kept me within 30 minutes of my schedule. Very professional and nice young man - a lot more mature than other providers of the same age.

That last time, I mentioned to him that I hired him due to a flake, and he had no trouble - he saw it as a business opportunity. His 24/7 working model paid off.

And most of the time, it's because I found myself without plans and horny. Not a last-minute backout of someone already set up.
