As one who infrequently hires on Rentmen - actually doing so tonight so wish me luck ….

the number of liars as it relates to stating their age is astonishing

I get the concept of appearing younger

but I believe it’s out of control with far too many

which is prob one of the reasons I don’t hire on RM

If all other info and photos on his profile are truly appealing, what is really behind the importance of those two digits when hiring? I’m guilty of it in the other direction.

Fir example, I am most physically attracted to real-looking, hung, beefy, hairy men. 29+ I find that fully formed adulthood in men takes longer than for women.
Choices for me are limited on advert sites because both the provider field and the market appetites skew younger and more “perfect”

So if you see in LA one of those handsome hairy lugs who is absolutely not passing for 35, send him my way😘

I think very few things are isolated -  lying about age, pics that are not recent, versatile when you’re a bottom …. are a window into the person.  My problem isn’t the # it’s the honesty.

As the OP said he infrequently hires off RM, he therefore has little to compare. By contrast I only hire from RM and do so more than 20 times a year. And have done so for years although some years less as during the pandemic.

So having sampled more tham my fair share, I have never found the age thing to be an issue. If I see 29 or 39 I mentally add a few years. So what. If the guy is in good shape, a couple years is neither here nor there.

The important thing is whether they look like their pictures or not.

I don't care if someone who is 40 advertises as 35, maybe he also does it out of privacy. Even on dating sites some folks lie about their age....

Last week I did an overnight with an escort I had previously hired twice for 2 hour sessions. In the morning at breakfast I told him I was 76 and he was shocked. He said he thought I was around 65. Lol

He also said he hoped to see me again. The age thing can play both ways. But honesty is the best policy I think altho I am forgiving if the age factor doesn't detract from the experience.

When I said the age thing can play both ways I meant sometimes clients might want to shave their age if they think a provider might turn them down for being too old. It's only happened to me once and it was not too concerning as the provider was in another country I was planning a trip to so I had plenty of time to find others.

At this point I don’t care about age, I go by reviews, photos, videos.

At the end of the day it’s a matter of taste but I have met guys that were obviously older than the age they stated on their ad but were much more confident and sexy than younger guys I have met. So for me age is just a number.

I actually prefer providers who are older than they look, since then I can get someone young-looking who's also mature and professional.

Everyone I know shaves their age on RM and Grindr, so I don't even care. As long as they look like their photos, as someone mentioned.

For me age is of paramount importance. I like people in the 18-25 bracket.

Age is pretty important otherwise why would people lie about their age; It is to increase their list of potential clients. I always search by age too because it my preference also definitely into the 21-30 age group.

Age shaving and other minor (or major) deceits are just a feature of the sexual marketplace,, whether you are talking about sex workers or civilians.  I once went home with a guy and he lived in a dinky studio apartment.  He told me "this is just my 'other' apartment, I actually live at 'x'" and gave me the name of a prestigious apartment complex.  Even as young and naive as I was then, i thought "yea, right."  I don't really mind if somebody shaves a few years off their age - to me, it's a harmless white lie.

I don't care as much about ACTUAL age, as much as I care about how old they LOOK.

Don't tell me you're 28 when you have the grizzled old ass of a 48 year old man.

My good sir, take that back. There is a very popular stripper in Rio de Janeiro in his early 50s whose smooth voluptuous ass most would accept sitting on their face any day any time. We chatted a bit at a club where he was featured, later kicking myself for not making a move.

I like 20-35 myself but I wouldn’t toss him out of bed unless the floor were to be a better fit.

I don’t think images are allowed here?

Do you like salty or sweet?

Candy floss or Himalayan NaCl. Dealer’s choice. As long as he’s a sweetheart and him a layin’ on me sheets.

As others have written, a bit of age shaving is so common that I don't really think twice about it.  When it becomes problematic is someone claiming to be significantly younger than they are (no way around it, a well-toned, handsome man who is 50 is not going to look like he's 25 even if he has the best genes on the planet).  For career providers, this is obvious to local customers because the providers either never update their claimed age or they increment it a year or two occasionally before reverting back to their previous claimed age.  There are a couple of guys in my area who have been 39 for more than two decades.
