What are your red flags?

@Emir, I’d move on since the head is clearly cut off. And it’s probably cut off because those verified pictures aren’t even his, if he’s real at all.

I had one guy, early in my dabbling stage, tell me the pictures he posted looked like him although they weren’t him. Pass…

Every new escort I hire, I require a telephone call. If we can’t have a few minutes of conversation, then how’s an overnight going to work out?!

Most clients contact by text or WhatsApp but some (especially older ones) like to call and have a conversation. It’s fine, I answer them if I’m able to but many times I’m not free to take a call. Clients are reluctant to leave a message on my voicemail so I can’t call them back (and I wouldn’t do so anyway without their agreement to receive a return call).

So whilst it’s fine to make a call as the initial contact I’d advise clients to text first because many guys wouldn’t or can’t answer, especially if it’s from a withheld number. If you text and agree a time to call then it’s more likely he’s able to answer it. I really don’t like discussing services with clients whilst I’m on the train or in a social situation and I’m sure I’m not unusual in that.

@Jamie21, normally I say upfront with a potential new hire that eventually I’ll want a telephone call before settling on a booking.

That said, I will not hire an escort I text who calls me without agreeing to do so. I’ve had several potential escorts uninvited just call during a text exchange. Akin to the train, I’m not always in a place to take a call. Furthermore, in today’s world, it’s pretty common to ask if it’s okay to call if you’re in the middle of a text exchange. So I’ll just dismiss a potential hire if he keeps calling when I tell him I can’t talk in the moment.

When the provider doesn't answer any of my basic questions such as rate, location, availability. Another is when a provider quotes a rate that is far from local market rates, I stop the conversation.

This is a big red flag for me too.

For me, the existence of a link to a twitter page in a RM ad is a red flag.  Nine out of ten times the content on the twitter page is enough to gross me out or ruin the fantasy image I had created in my head.  I will probably pass if I see any mention of a OF page.

Get used to more and more of that as time goes on …

I recently had a provider ask if I was ok with filming. First time I’ve been asked in that context (have been asked in hookups a few times before).

Maybe if I get a share in the proceeds? A collab? 🤔

There was an interesting exchange I saw on Instagram recently. So I know from Onlyfans creators that models that collab together don't pay each other, because every model gets a new video (new content) for their page that they can sell, making them money that way.

An Onlyfans creator had messaged a (very sexy) man on social media, asking him to make a video with him. The man, not being an Onlyfans model himself, asked how much the creator would pay him to be part of the video (since the man didn't have an Onlyfans himself where he could sell that video to his own subs, effectively unable to monetize his performance). The creator flipped and went on a tirade on how the man should be grateful someone like him would even ask him and that the man should be paying him to have sex with him.

I have an Onlyfans (and a Justforfans) and you’re correct that when you do a collab with a model you don’t pay them: it’s a mutual deal whereby you both get content you can monetise on your Onlyfans page.

There’s an interesting dynamic though in that the ‘big names’ on the fans sites tend to collaborate with other models in their league in terms of followers and profile. You contact guys to collab with and if they think you don’t have enough followers they won’t collab with you because they won’t get enough exposure.

You have to slowly work your way up the hierarchy by performing with models who are in your league or just above to build your presence. Luckily when I started I already had a couple of friends in who had a decent profile in the porn industry so I collaborated with them.

Basically on the fans sites you fuck your way to the top (or bottom depending on your perspective). It’s very like real life 😂.

They're okay, as long as the provider actually shows what they look like without the costume on. Who knows what this Black Joker looks like?

Sometimes it gives insight into his personality. Depending on the cosplay or whatever getup he’s wearing, it can give an indication of compatibility for something more than “fuck and run.”

Another example of AI retouching that says to me “pass.” The picture is too perfect. A normal photograph that shows what I’ll actually encounter should be what shows up in the ad. Not something so retouched it looks fake or something like this in a gym. We won’t be meeting in the gym so this so over the top…IMG_7678.thumb.png.45d12c74883f531f4ea57547ccc82009.png

Dude, that looks like a staged photo. It's not a real gym; the area caught by the camera just makes it look like that. He was clearly posing for that effect (hence the YMCA t-shirt).

Photoshopping was taking place decades before the (IMNSHO overblown) "AI" wave. Look at the face and body for alterations, not the pose.

Okay. I don’t like altered photos. It ain’t what we’re getting upon arrival. 🚩

No reviews or 1 or more negative reviews (also depends on content of the negative review)

There’s an escort (or was – I haven’t looked in a while) who charges crazy rates but has no reviews…but has been on RM for quite a while. And he uses OF to vet potential clients. You have to subscribe to his OF for him to even consider booking you, so his automated response tells you. Well, yours truly was dumb enough to pay that, and said escort didn’t communicate with me over OF either. As promised. I’m convinced guys have left negative reviews of him on RM but they’ve been removed. I’m not paying RM for their material if they removed negative reviews. The reviews are useless if they’re curated.

If a provider has 30 reviews and 1 is negative, I'm not too concerned.

If a provider has 30 reviews and 5 are negative, you need to back off.

I mentioned earlier about an escort who refused to see me after I asked why he had that proportion (about 15% negative ads). A few weeks ago, he just reappeared in a new ad, a new name, and no reviews. That's the biggest red flag of all; he did me a favor earlier.

  • 2 weeks later...

I don't know if it's a red flag per se, but it's definitely an annoyance.

As some of you may know from another thread I posted, I'm looking for a guy for some time in a cabin in a few months (thankfully I found someone and it's lined up, by the way! – aside). So I was searching through RM and checking out some of my options from browsing before. This guy came up. As you can see from my opening text, which may or may not have been how some of you think it should be done, but whatever, I was surprised that he was in my list given he's a bottom. So I messaged.

Automated messages sort of rub me wrong, but okay.

But then he doesn't answer my questions anyhow…

That's not a red flag per se, but it's like – okay, honey. I'm moving on. You can't be bothered to take this seriously.
