Be aware that starting the 26th of this month (August) all restaurants and bar in Palm Springs "must" require all potential customers show proof of Covid19 vaccination.  Now what they will be requiring in April is anybodies guess.  My recommendation is that if you are anti vaccination and would like to attend make refundable hotel reservation and cancel if that policy doesn't change.

You're nicer than I am. Anti-vaxxers wouldn't have gotten a heads up from me. They would've just gotten one of these if they made a non-refundable booking and weren't allowed indoors anywhere:

I just can't wait...

Then again, maybe I will be able to make it, but I'm not booking just yet.

Serious question @mike carey: what’s your considered view on when Australia might reopen its borders and permit foreign travel?

Why hijack the Palm Springs thread, @MscleLovr? Surely Australia deserves its own?

No hijacking was intended @Lucky. It was just an aside as I wonder what Australians think about when they may be able to travel to Palm Springs (and other places for that matter).

Long winded answer (well, sort of) offered

Hey Vegas_nw1982 in all sincerity one of the last thing you should want to see is me, at 81 then, naked in the pool.  Fortunately my mirror doesn't lie to me thus I will keep my cloths on thank you.

Well I am not quite so considerate of others, I will be naked in the pool.  Fair warning given to change your reservations.  And as I recall the last PS weekend I attended you were at a pool party with your clothes on getting orally serviced by a certain muscular silver haired escort on the couch while discussing politics.
